So very interesting question... I tried this guy last night mnk/nin + whm/rdm dualing.. Mnk and whm is decently geared, (Besides mnks weapon.. lol hades, and whm healing magic skill is well... Not up to par) I got it to like.. 79% maybe? Verted at 86~% and was just burning through mana like it was no ones buisness.. It was spamming dispelga ect while flying, mnk was using rr vv gh whm MM(missing a lot for his gimp little ***) mnk full +1 with +2 pants BB epona ect whm full +1 apollo's ect.. What am I doing wrong? lol....
inb4 flameing, I was at max melee distance and whm was no where near aura....

This guy is the easiest +2 mob in heroes zones if you play him right (I want to say all of abyssea, but then there's durinn). The problem most people have is letting him stay in the air too long, in the air he will magic the living *** out of you.
He has two phases, ground and air. He's a pansy on the ground - in the air you need to get off a good amount of damage (one solid Blade: Hi was usually enough) and he'll revert back down. Dread spikes will ruin you - a whm/rdm capped on enfeebling will usually be able to dispel it.
My opinion is that you were fighting it incorrectly - whether that included leaving dread spikes on him or letting him hangout in the air too long.
Oh yeah, and:

Need to do about 3-6k in damage to keep bringing him down, sadly you probably wont be getting that with Asuran fist outside of maybe 3-4 ws rounds? vs 2 with fury or 1 with smite.
So keeping him up there longer is whats killing your mp. Really should get A.Fury unlocked if you plan on completing a lot of things in abyssea with just 1-2 other ppl.
