DNC Earrings...

I had planned on just doing Brutal/Supp like most dual wielding DDs, but then I got to thinking... I did make an Acc+4/Regain Moonshade Earring... I was just wondering which you all thought would be a better combo? DNC does get TP gain fast enough without that 1 TP tic, but then again...

Eh, just throwing it out there. Any advice would be nice.

Regain Moonshades is nice if you're delay capped, but otherwise Brutal/Suppa will be better.

According to ffxicalculator, my delay with Supp and 25% haste gear(I really need to get that last 1%... -.-)/Haste Samba 5/5, is 161 (2.69seconds) With two 190 delay daggers; 2.84 seconds with 190/211 daggers. With Moonshade instead of Supp, it's 174(2.9 seconds) for 190/190 and 183(3.06secs) with 190/211.

Okay. What's your point? Suppa is better until you're delay capped.

According to this, delay cap is 76(1.27secs). To hit that you'd need

Charis Tiara +2
Charis Casaque +2
Charis Tights +2
Charis Toeshoes +2
Twilight Belt

Then you need one of the following
Suppanomimi
Auric Dagger
Charis Necklace

Along with
Haste Samba 5/5
Haste spell
Victory/Advancing March

To get Delay cap. So I guess your answer is correct because if I use Charis Necklace, I lose Love Torque. And if I use Auric Dagger, I lose the 190 delay.

Oh wait, dur. This thing only counts Charis Casaque +2 as 5% dual wield. So nvm, you can hit delay cap without Supp if you have haste/marchx2. But without those, it'd be 2.06 seconds of delay with just Dual wield/Haste Samba. So yeah, I'll go with Supp. Thanks.

I don't think Auric is a viable offhand anymore even if you aren't capped on delay reduction.

If you have Victory March +3 (AF3+2 hands, +2 instrument), then you're over the delay cap with just March + Haste + Haste Samba + Gear + 48% DW. There was a thread similar to this on Alla yesterday, here's the link.

It also counts Charis Neck as 5%. Supposed to be 3%. :(
