JIg Enhancement Gear Swap

Sorry, I'm having issues finding what I need via searching so I gave up and decided to ask via new thread...

I was just wondering, when you have Jig duration gear do you have to keep it equipped for the duration of the Jig use or can you just equip that piece use the jig then swap to a different piece?

I really appreciate the help, I figured since the game's not up right now I might as well use the time to figure out my gear swaps and what not...it's pretty pathetic right now but I'm working on making it better (it's a slow process for me...)
