Who's your favorite comedian?
So who makes you laugh like a adolescent girl? I typically learn more towards stand up comedians but comedic actors would be OK too, as many of them seem to do both these days.

Heros
BO BURNHAM By far my favorite comedian of all time, if you don't know who this guy is, watch him. His comedy is very intellectual and extremely clever. GEORGE CARLIN A real hero of mine. A philosopher, poet, revolutionary, clown - he covered so much ground and, most impressive to me, he evolved so dramatically over his career. STEVE MARTIN If you only know Steve Martin as that dude from Cheaper by the Dozen or the Pink Panther, I feel very very bad for you. Steve martin is a genius. He broke every rule comedians thought they had to follow; an absolute comic nihilist. I can't tell you how many times I've cracked up at an airport urinal while listening to "Let's get Small" for the whateverth time. AZIZ ANSARI Very funny guy and extremely dramatic on stage, to the point where you can't help but laugh. DONALD GLOVER Very goofy guy, for those of you that know DERRICKCOMEDY on Youtube, this is the man who started that. http://comedians.jokes.com/donald-glover/videos/donald-glover---never-heard-that-word One Liners MITCH HEDBURG Hopefully most of you know Mr. Hedburg,a brilliant joke writer. ANTHONY JESELNIK Anthony is very dark, you were warned. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFnKTs6CXwQ Musical Comedians TIM MINCHIN A brilliant pianist and songwriter http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGzhutyOMSk BILL BAILEY Bill bailey treats music like a brilliant observational comic treats reality. He deconstructs it and reveals its inner workings and how it affects and interacts with us. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8n2XJWLRzPM REGGIE WATTS Just watch this man. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ap_mHKyto88 SEAN CULLEN This man is very strange, very silly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E33YZqDjHwMp No Categories ZACH GALIFIANAKIS If you just know this man as Allen from the Hangover - you must dig into his stand up. Strangely enough, in my mind he's the only person who's come close to breaking as many rules as Steve Martin (we'll leave Andy Kaufman off this list because calling him a comedian is a bit too narrow minded, maybe). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOQboHV3-PI PATTON OSWALT This man is an absolute wordsmith, such beautifully hilarious word choice. You know when people say "he paints a picture with words" - I hate when people say that, but Patton Oswalt paints pictures with words. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfan5MacmsI Anyways, this is getting a bit long so I will just list the rest of the comics: Louis CK, Mike Birbiglia, TJ Miller, Tim Vine, Tim Key, Moshe Kasher, Dov Davidoff, Bill Hicks, David O'Doherty, and Jon Dore. I saw Mitch live not long before he died ;; he was like if Kurt Cobain did comedy.
Ricky Gervais, Lee Evans and Stephen Merchant.
Based off their stand ups... I think Chris Rock is the funniest man on the planet.
Dave Chappelle and Mitch Hedberg are also great. Katt Williams and Martin Lawrence get a nod. Lee Evans has always been my favourite, Lee Mack is pretty funny too.
Pierre Desproges:
Best comedian ever. The Aceman, Adam Carolla, has got to be the funniest man on the planet and he generates over an hour of pure comedic gold every day on his podcast. Though damned if people haven't been posting some seriously funny people; I guess I tend to forget just how many talented comedians we have out there.
wow no one said richard pryor. him and george carlin, they were comedy in the 70's and 80's. steven wright if you can stand the dry humor. everyone else listed everyone else. oh gabriel iglesias is funny too
Far too many good ones to pick just one.. In no particular order..
George Carlin Louis C.K. Dave Chappelle Christopher Titus Ron White D. L. Hughley Robert Schimmel Russell Peters Pablo Francisco Richard Jeni Mitch Hedberg Bill Engvall I love stand-up.. I used to hate it and thought it was stupid, then one late night when a friend was over and we were smoking, he made me watch it much to my protest (It was Robert Schimmel: Unprotected) I about pissed myself laughing, and I've loved it ever since. Frakie Boyle, Lee Evans and Lee Mack, I agree with here out of who's been mentioned already. Bill Bailey is ok I guess, Minchin is same old thing each time, and un funny joke played in melody whilst he plays the piano. Chris Rock is annoying too same joke for 20 years now isnt it? Everytime I see the guy do stand up all it ever is the black guy getting hard done by/racial sterotypes etc. Sean Lock is also fkin hilarious : And this guy rocks too : Its funny no female comedians have been mentioned, having watched QI yesterday they were just convering this topic of there being fewer female comedians on television and they determined reason to be that women dont find other women funny and men are more inclined to making prats of themselves. Ross Noble
seen him 3 times very funny <3 these guys. This is a little different from most comedies sketches though so be warned lol. Bismarck.Dierdreh said: atm, i like louis c.k.
Yea this was shown on Comedy Rocks with Jason Manford. I'm a pretty big fan of Margaret Cho. She's pretty, witty, honest. She stands up for what she believes in about real life issues. Not to mention, I love when she makes fun of her mom. Lol.
Louis CK, Bill Burr, Greg Fitzsimmons, Joe Rogan, Chris Hardwick, Adam Carolla, Doug Benson, Jonah Ray, Matt Mira, Patton Oswalt, Al Madrigal, Gabriel Inglasias, and Brian Posehn are all awesome comedians and best of most of them have hours of content on various podcasts.
However, Greg Giraldo and Dave Attell have to be my favorite two. oh crap I completely forgot how funny Brian Posehn is on-stage
which reminded me of Eugene Mirman ![]() here's a small sample of his work also WHY HASN'T ANYONE MENTIONED THE GUY WHO HITS WATERMELONS WITH SLEDGEHAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!! (not) Tim Nutt
Richard Pryor "wtf is a goonie goo goo?"
