what kind of guy/girl do u like?
But again, me and Hase, are working with a potentially slightly different definition. Its more like "at first conversation", as opposed to literal sight of the person.

Sight = Sight. I don't understand how that can be misinterpreted. Ifrit.Eikechi said: But again, me and Hase, are working with a potentially slightly different definition. From a single conversation, the absolute MOST information you can gather is whether or not you have a affinity for this person. I have an affinity towards tons of people, and I wouldn't date most of them. Anyway... Knowing whether or not you have an affinity towards someone isn't enough to base your feelings off of. Idk, just me though. Leviathan.Niniann said: Ifrit.Eikechi said: But again, me and Hase, are working with a potentially slightly different definition. Thats all I'm sayin really, and thats just my views on it. Not right or wrong, but I wouldn't instantly call somebody else "wrong" for their views/opinions

Not right or wrong, but I wouldn't instantly call somebody else "wrong" for their views/opinions That would imply that the very fist encounter with any female would have to be a "date", wouldn't it? Personally, I see a lot of women and it's not a date. To take this forum a different route...is it considered "wrong" or "taboo" for a guy be a fan of romance? Not some cliche womens' novel but damn it, I want my shiny armor. >o
(See waht I did there? *^_^*) I suppose thats technically true Zic. But when you hear people that are talking about going out they say.. "I'm going to see so and so" or "I'm seeing so and so"... its semantics and a little bit of a stretch, but its feasible lol

I can't even deny this since one of my best/longest relationships happened basically the second day I met him. Heck, the love at first sight feelings were more or less dead-on, and I did truly love him (eventually), but saying I was legit in love would be silly. It was 100% infatuation with an attractive charismatic Asian man. Bismarck.Recaldy said: To take this forum a different route...is it considered "wrong" or "taboo" for a guy be a fan of romance? I'm too manly to be some man's princess, but I don't mind being treated like one on occasion. I think they should be completely self-orientated and believe women are there to serve them. I think it's important for the man to focus only on his physical satisfaction with no concern for his partner. Because that keeps ashman in business, sweeping the rest off their feet ;3 I agree, kinda. Romance adds a lot of depth to a story and as someone who feels strong emotions often, I find stories with love as part of them very touching (the idea of fighting etc for your loved one for instance).
That said, gratuitous sex scenes or whatever can ruin it entirely. Call me weird but despite being a very sexual person, I dislike sex scenes in movies/books etc. If I want sex, I'll go watch porn. If I'm playing a game/watching a (non-pornographic) movie or reading a book, then sex scenes RARELY add anything to the story. And he's not even a prissy floating butterfly. He looks like Seth Rogan.

I think they're horribly written and nothing more than mediocre fanfic... but at least it has the slight level of intellectual legitimacy that comes with reading the printed word. It's just kind of funny when the last one came out, total role reversal, he's the one dragging his groaning fiance to the movie. zahrah said: Ragnarok.Ashman said: Bismarck.Recaldy said: To take this forum a different route...is it considered "wrong" or "taboo" for a guy be a fan of romance? Honest question: how would you define romance as applied IRL? Honestly I think it's more of a story-telling device and doesn't exactly exist IRL in the same manifestations as Hollywood. Not saying I don't believe in love or passion, but the term romance really is lost on me.
I'm a bad woman apparently. |
