is it okay to just hate cell phones and how they evolved into their current place in society or has apple already passed a law against that

it used to be that you weren't obligated to be available at anyone's beck and call 24/7

now you have college classes where people take calls and go out in the hall in the middle of a lecture and people who will take a cell phone call in goddamned midsentence

i suppose one weird thing about me is that though i have a cell phone, i don't take it anywhere unless i am specifically expecting a call

I hate cel phones and what they have become too Sev... They USED to be only for people who were in emergency type jobs (fire fighters on call, doctors, EMTs..) Now everybody and their dang mother have one for no real reason.... When I was growing up, if you really needed to call home, a quarter and a pay phone worked just fine lol...
And I'm definitely with ya on the "not being at people's beck and call". I hate that I get dialed up for ANY damn reason lol

i hate having a crappy non-full keyboard cell phone. texting is all i really do, and its a big pain to do it

edit: about the synaesthesia thing, thats pretty interesting. it makes me think of my vision.

i've never been sure if it normal or not, but my vision is made up of millions/billions of little dots that are red/white/black/blue. they all come together to form the shapes and colors of the world. its mostly noticeable in the dark, during the day i mostly dont notice it, and i cant really directly see the dots, like a physical object, its similar to having a fleck of dirt on your glasses or something.

Sounds like what I see too. It's almost like a film grain effect right? You don't actually notice it until you want to notice it.

I dream in black and white, except for various details or objects retain their color... Kinda like that movie Sin City.

yea, rubbing my eyes is like a more intense version of it, except what i see normally have specific colors, sortal like how comic books are printed with 3 specific colored dots.

semi-related, when i was little i had severe dizzy spells, almost like i was fainting. i'd lose all senses and everything would go black for a few seconds to a few mins. the worst ones i'd be walking and then the next thing i knew i was on the floor with no idea how i got there

It's been totally persistent since I can remember, and I have a very good memory(if a bit selective at times), so I always assumed it was normal. I think all or most of my friends have described it too.

Palmetto bugs. They suck so freaking much. That is the only phobia I have, fear of the mean flying cockroaches. /shudders Hate those things :( The last time I saw one my husband told me to kill it and I spent about 30 minutes squeaking/screaming (a bit) and jumping before he killed it for me.

However, we moved to Denmark and they don't live here! :)

im a adult been married twice. father of 2 children. but i cant stand to be used as a pillow or layed on.

i wont eat anything i see someone touch. i wont eat damaged food products. if i order meat cooked it its not cooked right i wont eat it at all. i got a suvier case of food posioning and a intestine infection. which prevented me from eating solid food for 4 months. im super food parinoid now.

im not scared of any animal and ther not scared of me. i get along with every creature on the plant but a standard house cat. they all naturally dislike me and i dislike them.

if i dont poke fun at you then i dont like you. if i dont like you it takes alot for me ever to like you. once i like you. its almost impossible for us to not be friends anymore.

i have gay friends. and i support their right to be the way they want to be. ive had gay roomates and co workers. i can talk to them and hear them talk about anything. but i can't watch 2 guys swap spit. its liek nails on a chalk board to me. (i just gothe chills)

Got another something to add: I really freaking despise alcohol. I've gotten a lot of slack for getting my opinion out on this, but I've come to a stage where I just think "If you don't like it, deal with it. This is my view and I am not forcing it upon anyone, merely expressing it."
I don't mind when people close to me take a few. Hell, on the rare occasion, I take 1-2 glasses of cider, or Malibu Coke (but I always stop after that). But when people close to me start to get tipsy and drunk, the majority of them turn into massive idiots that often try my patience. The relationship with my mother almost went to smithereens because of alcohol, and I've had numerous bad experiences with it (violence etc). Hence why, I've chosen never to get drunk in my life. So far, so good.

I'm the exact same way Sae, I hate to drink. There is history of absuive alcoholism in my family and I never even want to RISK turning into that monster that my father is. And I do catch a lot of flack for not gettin drunk with the guys or w/e...
Also in a similar scenario, I don't just sleep with everything that moves, so I get called "gay" a lot...Because I won't hook up with random chicks, I'm apparently a homosexual.. Even if I was gay, I wouldn't hook up with random dudes lol. Its just not how I am.

Was actually not expecting someone to be the same way actually lol. That's pretty nice to hear that there's others in the same boat.
My father was a monster as well when he drank alcohol (though he did not always need it).
The second paragraph does not surprise me, as the same has happened to my brother as well. I too don't hook up with just any guy (call me old-fashioned but to me, the guy that gets to see me naked has to work for it :P and has to be special to me.), but being a girl I get less slack for it than guys do. :/
I think it's admirable that you don't just sleep around, really. I think many guys that shout these generic type of "insults" (isn't even an insult really - what's wrong with being gay?) are really very insecure about themselves.

:). Ya I get looked at like some kind of psycho at times, since I don't do those things lol. Its kind of frustrating at times, but I'm me, and hey...thats just it. I'm fairly old-fashioned with certain things, and I won't change those aspects of my life for anybody. If you need me to drink to be a friend, well you're no friend of mine, I say.

I don't drink much. Even back in HS when we had our get togethers that involved mass amounts of alcohol, I'd always be the one to drink the least. I knew I had to take care of them once they overdid it. I was on the receiving end of "I love you, man" more than once for making sure they didn't pass out in the toilet.

I stopped drinking when I turned 19, It's great and I love it, but in this day and age it just costs too much to go out.
I'll withdraw £100 and get home after a night out and think what on earth have I spent all of this on.

That's why the only time I'll spend money at a bar is when I'm in Korea. Otherwise I buy what I want from the store.

Edit: I went ~3 years without drinking while still in HS. I just stopped. No reason.
