How are they supposed to make money when that stuff is $1500/barrel? I'm supposing it's $25 at the door and a 2 drink minimum?
You don't actually fill the "pool", you just coat all the sides and leave a little in the bottom (think oiling a pan to bake with).
Also, some places re-use it (throws up in mouth a little bit).

I'm assuming they aren't using the full 55 gallon barrel per event.

Assuming it lasts 5 events, that's still $300 an event in lube. That's before the light bill, barhops, wrestlers, bouncers etc etc. Seems to artificially raise the operating costs of a place. I mean strip clubs are only out glitter.

A "typical" party gets 10-12 uses out of it to fill an inflattable kiddie pool. If you charge $10 a person you only need to sell 10 tickets to cover the fee. If you charge $20 for ticket and a red cup you paid for party booze and get yourself a free show. I also didn't think your run of the mill "club&motel" was going to have a show but a spring break club or perhaps a slightly upscale joint wouldn't mind. Also, you can see they halved the pricetag. Clearly they weren't moving as much of it as they thought XD
For the record, I've never been a member of a fraternity or been to a strip club. I'm just a good salesman :x
I still read through 8-bit theatre all the time and laugh. I picture every taru-blm to be thinking about hadoken'ing me or "eyeing the female mage eerily".
