i wish that were an option for me, but im no good in a jet so ill never unlock them. rather than bringing my team down with my shitty jet skills, i usually go infantry or take to the skies in a heli.

i think the jets are just too fast paced for me, i can't hit targets with the guns. and im told thats the best weapon for jets lol. ill try to practice more, but not in intense battles.
Depends on your target.. For tanks, rocket pods are far more effective, you can fire them from waaaaay up because the tanks are usually sitting still either firing or looking for a target, by the time you get them all off, you'll have a few seconds to switch to cannons and give them a good blast with the cannons as well... A full set of rockets will make the tank instantly disabled, it's not uncommon to catch someone jumping out to repair the tank a second later with the cannons, and the cannons can really put the tank into that critical stage where it needs to be repaired immediately or it's gone.

For everything else I use the cannons, they are the most effective weapon, especially on the jets, cannons will eat through the jets armor really fast, line up your shot right and just give it a full blast and before they can react or try to dodge, they're already ***.

As for not being good in jets, start off really high, and take time to line up your shots, it takes practice, just like learning to effectively fly the chopper without crashing. Jets make easy targets too, go to near max ceiling height (I'd recommend Caspian, it's by far the easiest to learn on, ceiling on Caspian is 800M~ IIRC) and level level off and look for a plane, they will almost certainly be flying quite a bit lower than you, jump in behind it and just follow him, it's pretty rare they notice, seems like so few people use Air Radar, wait til he lines up on an attack run, then line up on him and just blast his ***.

I like when jets try to pick on me when I'm in a tank. I've had pilots get close enough to me that I can just put a tank shell in their faces. It's pretty satisfying when that happens.

That wouldn't work on me!

Now on the other hand I've been shot out of the chopper quite a few times =/

Obviously, It only works on people who allow themselves to get low enough for me to aim at them since the main cannon on the tank doesn't aim very high. The choppers are easier to shoot down regardless if they are shooting at me or not, but I don't know what it with the pilots I play against. They all love to make the dive in and try to get me with their missiles which ends up with them getting blasted in the face.

i shoot down choppers everytime they are around in my tank..just have to drive the front end up onto something and that gives u enough lift to hit them wherever. nothing better than taking out a chopper and seeing that you get 4+ kills xD

I'm over halfway there D: Got that far in just a day or two's worth of play, I haven't put much work into Tanks until just recently, first thing I really did was completely unlock everything in the plane, now I'm switching between working on Attack Chopper, Scout Chopper and Tank.

Speaking of tanks. im close to getting the reactive armor... whats better. the autoloader(dont remember how slow i shoot without it) or the armor? and does that armor protect against c4?

also the guided shell or w/e its called. how do you use that? was going to try it but never played a map where i got a tank.

I think someone has to first laser designate a target, I'm no stranger to guided missiles in the planes, but I was never getting a target lock on vehicles when I tried to use it.

Choppers have a thing that can laser designate, if they use it, CITV can do it, Recon can do it, and I think I'm missing one. Really though, unless one of your teammates announces he's going to be lasing targets, just stick with the Coaxial guns.

Personally I used Rocket Pods until just recently... I've become alot more fond of ATGM's after using them.

My issue with rocket pods is that it can be hard to spot tanks on maps like Caspian Border, even with Air Radar. ATGM's, just scan the road until you start locking, fire away, and also call him out so you have an easier time finding him for the next pass. Can even call out infantry and try to mow them down with your cannons on a fly by. A good hit will disable the tank in 1 shot.

Rocket Pods have the potential to do more damage, but I'd say they're situational depending on the map.

oh i use the shotgun like thing... but think ima go back to normaly guns lol. and i normally play with a couple friends so ill just look more into it and see if one of them can do it. not like it will matter but does it work for choppers/planes or only ground vehicles?

I can get rockets to just about any spot on any map, well just about anywhere a vehicle will go anyways. I tried out the Guided Missiles for a while, but I don't like them, I've watched countless direct hits and just ... nothing, no disable, no vehicle going boom. As for spotting tanks, you can spot ground units in the jets as well.. I constantly spot all over the place, not just for targets for me, but also to help my teammates track infantry.

I hadn't noticed that flares got nerfed. Has anyone used them since the reload time got increased? My 12G Frag USAS got a nerf too. I wonder how bad that is now.

I hope it got nerf'd pretty good.. I usually don't get aggravated by weapons, but that combo is just ridiculous.. I mean even a noob can completely own with it, then you put it in the hands of a pro and holy ***..

I can't wait to get my USAS but I have no plans to use frag rounds with it. Do Flachette rounds go through people too? Or just thin objects? If they go through people too, even if it reduces damage, it could get pretty interesting.

Looks like laser guided missiles got a buff too. I was getting tired of Javelin missing jets because they were moving too fast. Good thing I got used to not using IRNV because it's absolute trash now.

And like 100,000 people just started instantly sucking D:

I only used it on a couple of weapons and it was situational. Mostly when our team was being pinned down by a bunch enemies in buildings.

That's awful. I personally never use the IRNV and I've never had a problem with people using it. I don't see why they would completely ruin something like that. lol

Because for everyone that was using it, there was at least 2 people who had a problem with it, the forums were getting blown up with demands that it be nerf'd.

Do consoles get 7 flag conquest? I don't see how that would work with only 24 people.

I don't consider the current maps we have for PC to be big enough, so I can't imagine the size of console maps. Also, people overrate how much a PC costs to run the game. I run the game on a $900 computer. I'm running on high at 1280 x 768.
