Tried that, besides the fact that nobody would refresh a WAR, it still wouldn't take into effect half the time with Auto Refresh Sanction.

At least with this, I get to TP a lot faster because of more hits.

and then you get to WS with a 64dmg weapon! the 7 vit totally makes up for it though right

For Steel Cyclone, at 300% TP, there is no difference at all imo.

I still stick 1800 damage on mobs with either Byakko's Axe or Fort Axe.

Raging Rush, on the other hand, has seen a drastic decrease on damage. From 800~1200 damage with Byakko's Axe, to 400-700 with Fort Axe, people seem to automatically discount Fort Axe right off the bat.

But, if you do 2x Raging Rushes with Fort Axe compared to 1x Raging Rush with Byakko's Axe, you will see that Fort Axe = Byakko's Axe, could even be better, if I constantly hit 700+ each time. Unfortunally, like all WSs, there is that randomness if the hit is going to hit or not. Or if Double Attack is going to proc on the WS. Its almost impossible to keep it steady anyway.

base dmg of ws = d+fstr+WSC

WSC is modifiers so they are same with both
fstr difference s only 3 from perdu
damage rating on weapon is 27 less than perdu

= 30 less base dmg before applying pdif

thats the same as loosing 103 str on raging rush.

in other words most dmg you could possibly lose is 270 per raging rush,(if all 3 crit and gave 3.0 pdif) which is very rare

but then if its occasionally attacks twice is 55% same as justice sword that means u could get tp for WS on average of every 3-4 hits instead of 5

so you can ws more often, fort axe would do more dmg.

when mobs defense gets high is when u should switch to perdu or in your case byakko's axe, in merit fort axe will do more if you have the virtue stones.

Which I haven't tossed yet, I'll probably still get Perdu eventually, but yeah, Fort > Byakko so far....

Good to see some sophisticated looking mathy stuff to back it up eh :p

So basically looks like Fort is the winner for meripo/dynamis/nyzul/limbus/etc, and switch to byakko's for gods/bosses of any sort where you'll want the higher base DMG and you'll also want to feed less tp.

I'm surprised that you didn't say anything about my Chiv Chain, or Swift Belt.

Or Walmart Turban

Or Dusk gear

Or Sniper's Ring

Or Ethreal Earring (or however you spell it).

I mean, I didn't have to buy those two dusk ***for WAR, I could have saved for that Sorc Ring....

..or Witch's Sash....

...or Ixion Cloak....

....but instead, I desided to go ahead and improve WAR just a little bit.

Do I look like a freaken millionare? My BLM is my pimp geared job and its not even worth that much....

The fact that my WAR is geared like that even though its not my main should be an accomplishment on itself.

Fortitude Axe will feed more TP to mob, so i'll vote Byakko's Axe even F.Axe have better slight damage. i dont like mob using Skill often :p

In a sense, you are both correct.

Its not like a KClub. I won't give 100% TP to the mob each round.

But it will feed more TP to a mob than Byakko's Axe.

You are both correct, its like having the damage of a GA with the multitude of hits as a Ridill.

I use Fortitude Axe many in Einherjar (T1) as /sam (max GA merits)
My TP Gain + Attack Speed was insane due the often Double Attack Rate and Triple/QuadAttack.
My Raging Rushs had an average between 600-1200, sometimes its higher due the multihits.
The dot is awesome =)

i keep fort axe around for zerg fights
kirin/bv1 etc~

otherwise i trashed my Byakko's Axe when i got Perdu Voulge

now i hardly do that, 3rd gaxe in Augmented Fight i got what i wanted

Erlking's with DMG97/Att+6/DA+2

so i just use all 3 atm, depending on situation

Hi, I'm pretty sure double attack check for a sea weapons will allow a maximum of three hits per attack round. A maximum of 1 stone expended each time. At least that's what I remember reading back in the day.

In any case for a War looking to spam some Raging Rush and swap between hasso and seigan constantly it's a very fun weapon to have.

It is my favorite GA for anything I can IT or lower. In the case of HNM I will often rely on martial.

Question that extends the OP in the case of the Fort Axe. 1.5%DA or 2%haste, given that I will have Passive trait, merit, grip, brutal.

I can attest to the opposite of this, as I know for a fact you can get 7-hit attack rounds with Faith Baghnakhs, as I've done it myself on more than a couple occasions.

I also know you can not get a Virtue Stone proc on WSs, because, again, I have Faith Baghnakhs and can do the testing.

I'm quite confident that I have never witnessed a 4 hit on the fortitude axe. Although with haste in a merit party the attack speed may be very high.

With Faith do you often overlap into the next attack round? Given the weapon delay along with traits and such?

I tossed my Byakko Axe, when I got my Enhanced axe. You can end out with better axe than Byakko if your lucky
