She didn't choose the brand to create an outlandish and structurally incoherent dress, she chose it because she knew they would make something perfect for the occasion, which it was.
Taking that into account, her veil is quite beautiful. The fabric is like a misty air that enhances her beauty beneath it.
She went through a grueling workout regime and strict diet to obtain that amazing tiny waist and thinness. Such a vision~
Structurally incoherant? McQueen? It's not nice to troll regarding dead people.
Though, who are we kidding, Catherine probably had as much input on her dress as a medieval bride would have on her choice of husband. It's not her fault.
I definitely did not mean any harm, nor to "troll" or whatever you think it is. When I said incoherent I merely meant a fluidity that wouldn't be conceived from natural forms.
Sorry if you took offense, but I definitely look up to him as a designer, as I've proven through collections I've made so far. I never said his fashion is bad, and even if I did, everyone has a right to their opinion, doesn't mean they are spitting on that person's grave.
If it's any consolation, I didn't think there was anything wrong with your post.

It's just a little odd to be calling McQueen structurally incoherent, when he and his aesthetic inheritors were known above all for their gorgeous use of form and structure to appeal to the female body. I don't really understand what you mean still, but if what you mean is that McQueen was never known for soft and flowing dresses that appealed to the masses, that's true!
To the others, I really doubt she had much to do with the wedding at all. Pippa had to fight for disco balls in the palace for the reception, I seriously doubt Kate had much significant input on anything. Rather, the arbiters of taste and decorum at the palace probably took her aesthetic into account when making decisions for her. It's not really HER wedding after all, in the normal western sense that is.
I hope I didn't offend you! We fashion queens gotta stick together.

LOL! I totally forgot about that. I think disco balls at receptions are pretty tacky too, but to each his own I suppose.

I understand the confusion with my analysis, sometimes I can be awkward in delivery. I just don't like being called a troll. ;.; But it's alright now, long as it's straightened out lol.

Urial, Spence, I may not be going adventuring in Sweden with you now. Daus and I are going to the UK to get Daus's hat back before Joan Rivers catches wind of this debacle!

Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn!*
*On the head of Princess Beatrice, dead Cthulhu waits dreaming.
I found this highly amusing.

So, I guess Daus will join our party. Then, we'll hit up the UK before going to Sweden and finding you some regal tail? Sounds like a plan!!!

Too bad Gadaffi is being bombed, he would have made a fine addition.

New royal wedding in Monaco this weekend. This royal family is nowhere near the Windsors, but hey! You got to love the legacy that Grace Kelly left to the Grimaldis...

Love the dress in the second one o.o
So how many of you watched this mornings proceedings at Buckingham Palace? Personally I still don't quite understand how a wedding has captivated so many people around the world, but I nonetheless found myself watching the highlights with a pleasant smile on my face!
Perhaps it is the perfect ceremony that many of us wish we could experience ourselves with loved ones that captures our hearts? It looked like one of those special occassions that puts the worlds troubles on hold and unites people in happiness.
