Warwolf Belt would be better by far -in theory- because of the VIT, but take into account a single hit ws is much less accurate than a multi-hit ws, and the STR/VIT/STP gear most others use in place of accuracy, even with various foods. The Food i use, is Hedgehog Pies over Red Curry Buns
Single hit WS is more accurate due to first hit of ANY weapon skill getting an ACC bonus.

im actually waiting to see the "Clank uses Ranged Attack" "Clanks Ranged Attack misses!" with the Barrage effect....because if the first hit of Barrage misses they all miss...if it truely acts like Barrage.

Nope, job specific merits arent boosted.
Just stats and magic/combat skills + "others"(enmity/crit merits)

You didn't read it right.
They're raising merits on HP/MP, Attributes, Combat Skills, Magic Skills, and Other.

JA Haste caps at 25%, more merits would be worthless iirc

You don't understand it correctly. Job specific merits are unaffected by the merit boost anyway.
As for the potential of a desperate blows oversight, it's entirely possible, I'm not sure how probable though. Desperate blows is by no means an "Under the Radar" kind of thing.

You still wont be able to get more than 4 eva merits I think, just gonna be able to merit up more things to max lol

Nah, my train of thought was sort of like, when King's Justice first came out and even up until Abyssea a lot of my buds on War advocated using it over Raging Rush no matter what. Wasn't thinking in relation to Ukko's either. I still get some War friends trying to tell me KJ beats RR outside, without Mighty Strikes up, which kind of makes me lol

easy mode is official now. no xp loss 1-30? does anyone die at that level anyway? 30-75 loss but less is cool but really none for 1-30 come on SE how about tweaking limit breaks, missions etc so things dont still require 3 people or more...

Probably, but has ranger's problem ever really been Damage? I always see their biggest issue as pulling hate so quickly, and, unlike melee jobs, they can't effectively attack in that situation.

Well, I may be in the minority but I think it's really good to see VIT being given an additional purpose. It's a teribly neglected stat. The only one worse off in my opinion is CHR.

Haven't read all the replies to this post yet, but, no, that is not the "best" TP set-up for DRK, unless you're fighting low-evasion targets, or have heavy Accuracy buffs on you (from atma, Madrigals, Hasso, etc.).
Remember, DRK Great Sword skill is "A-", not "A+".
That doesn't mean don't use a Great Sword. It just means you have to account for melee Accuracy. The itemset you posted here has net Accuracy-4 and total DEX+1. The +5 skill on the AF3+2 gloves helps somewhat, but using Zelus Tiara, Hoard Ring, Almah Torque, and Askar Korazin seems wasteful.
You could instead aim for this type of gear:
which could be used with any Great Sword with a base delay of 444 to 456 to yield a 7-hit build as DRK/SAM. You'll still have +25% Haste, but significantly higher melee Accuracy (and Attack), without being dependent on Madrigal or Hasso, etc.
A six-hit build is a nice idea, but it's more practical when using a Scythe, or as a WAR/SAM. So unless you're fighting weak (or unusually low evasion, or Feint-debuffed) targets, an accurate 7-hit build is most likely better than gimping yourself to max-out on Store-TP equipment.
