Some of the Sandworms (Ulhaudshi/Glavoid) seem to have pretty high Defense, enough that might justify the use of /WAR... Might Justify...
The only time I know for sure /WAR is good, is on Absolute Virtue burns.

It's actually kind of a big deal.
But moreover, the defensive options of /SAM still make it the perfect blend of offense-defense, of we're talking Dark Knight.

I meant I dont think its as big of a deal /sam as it used to be. Outside abyssea sure /sam is def a must but inside im not so sure.

Yes I use plaga scythe untill i finish magian scythe and get twilight.
With regards to perle yes i still use it oly play twice a week and do abyssea nm runs with ls.
I am also concentrating on ws set first which I have snow gorget, bale belt, Bale earring. When i get other points it will be upgraded more.

You can finish a Magian Weapon in a few days (Caladbolg literally 2 days with a minimum of 3 people). Ace's Hose/Feet (feet are 100% Drop) Incredibly easy items to get. Atheling Mantle is a 100% drop and so is Bale choker!!! All these NMs can be duo'd, there is no excuse for being gimp these days :x Only annoying piece of AF3 to get is the body, and then thats not even really all that bad.
5/5 Perle to me shows a Lazy Player.

A crit with Caladbolg/Redemption would do as much damage as your shitty Infernal Scythe. <.<

I just saw some SS of Caladbolg on a mithra and I think what she said would sound like "that thing's huge" !
I'm totally going for one when I return to the game lol
Btw, Bale body +2 isn't hard to get if you have a friend who can pull Fuath for you while you chain brew on a martello ;o

Idk I spammed the ironclad for body seals took me a while dude just wouldnt put out till one day he suddenly dropped them like crazy.
I got the +2 items right away though getting pops for that is a joke <.<b

Add in that the key items drop more often that Time crates, and he's soloable, and no DRK higher than lvl8 should be without, one of the best, if not the best, DD oriented body in the game.
I will kind of jump in to Quietus's defense a little. Right now it's worse than Torcleaver, but Scythe DMG is higher, and it's mods are higher (40/40 as opposed to 60) and better (STR mod in particular), so somewhere down the line, it could surpass the Caladbolg Torcleaver.

I did Brygid's quest and walked away with DRK, COR, and WHM +1 bodies. Didn't eat too many stones and all the gear sold straight away again when I was done.

Check ws set things are being worked on. Also like i said i only play twice a week in an abyssea endgame linkshell. I am not in a rush for the gear and rather take my time and have a laugh with the linkshell.

My point is if you don't have the time/knowledge to get better gear than what you're wearing, you likely don't have the time/knowledge to comment on / math out the numbers behind which subjob adds the best benefits for what scenario.
Basically, don't argue against people when you have no idea what you're talking about.

Arguing WAR could be a viable SJ for DRK won't give the others the knowledge you speak of.

Dead Aim: RNG Lv.50 - Improves power of critical hits for ranged attacks.
*The level indicated is that at which the trait will initially be obtained. Trait effectiveness will subsequently increase at higher levels.
• Certain job traits will see their maximum level of effectiveness adjusted by equipment, magic, and/or job abilities.
Other Adjustments
• VIT will play a role in calculating damage taken from critical hits.
• Experience point penalties when KO’d will be eased for characters level 75 and below.
At levels 1–30, the penalty will be removed entirely. At levels 31–75, the amount of XP lost will be lowered
