Atma of the Earth Wyrm vs. Glavoid
Basically wondering if anybody has tried using this Atma for Glavoid? If so, was it a significant reduction against Gorge/Disgorge? Any information or experiences would be great. Thanks ahead of time.

It actually works pretty well along with Barstonra. It's not really a big deal if you use it or not assuming you have a good WHM who can cure and a tank who knows what they're doing. Though I can see why you're having a hard time since your gear shows you wearing bullwhip.

While it's just better to stun Glavoid, Atma of the Earth Wyrm is awesome for Tunga, which you'll have to do along the Glavoid -> Itzcantspellit -> Orthrus weapons.

It doesn't do anything to disgorge. I've done this NM with 400 earth earth resist, and retards on wiki claim it reduces it, but that's wrong.

It helps a lot to mitigate damage from stonega4 and other earth based tp moves along with barstonra, and if you are going to lowman it, this means less mp consumption for the WHM. It's hard to say if it helps against Gorge/Disgorge or not, we always us it and the only thing that avoid my tank to be oneshotted or badly damaged is to have the thf on the same side, splitting disgorge damage. I suggest to use it anyway and bring along a stunner, it's just easier. Having the thf sub /blm is enough or the nin sub dnc or whatever, just stun it and don't heal it.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by a tank who "knows what they're doing"... Is there something a tank can do specifically on their own to help with Gorge/Disgorge?

First time i did glavoid after i got that atma i used earth wyrm razed ruins and an evasion atma.
I did notice that along with it and barstonra the dmg he dealt was significantly reduced ( this was before i knew you could run into him lol)
BUT it still occasionally spiked and 1 shotted me. I was a thf.

Thanks for the thoughts, it was just something I was thinking about and was just wondering if anybody else had used this. I have a PDT set on WAR that is for the most part complete if I decide to tank this on WAR which will help.
I can understand needing to stun...but...when you are not the *** BLM you cannot stun. So assuming I have a competent stunner is outta my personal hands because I am not the blm here.
What makes you think I'll be tanking it on WAR with Bullwhip that gives -earth resist??? Assuming is *** stupid. As a group we have not fought this yet...so I am having no troubles what so ever.
