What Would Prevent You From Getting Support?

My wife is in the woodworkers guild trying to get support, and it won't let her, the advanced guy just says something about if they don't get started on the weapons the orcs will destroy them..

not high enough for advanced support?
talking to the wrong npc?
logged in on the wrong mule?
it's friday?
guild holiday?
a karma ran over her dogma?
sweet william?
47?
she is a figment of your imagination?

Honestly, i dunno as i haven't personally tried it, but several membersr of my linkshell have been having the same problem, and they're not only woodworkers. It might be a bug or something, or maybe an interfering questline. I highly doubt the latter but ya never know.

She's high enough to get it (I'm 49WW), I used to get it (she's playing on my character since I just don't want to play it anymore) never had a problem getting support before now..

I'm a long term crafter <_< I know the right NPCs to talk to lol.. He just doesn't give her any options, just keeps repeating the same thing over and over.

it might be that she has the quest to get the trainee axe flagged?

Nope, Axe quest isn't flagged.

Better than anything i could come up with, interfering questline does sound right as you're still getting npc dialogue.. kinda like how certain quests inhibit the usual dialogue of NPC's and temp. replace it with something relevant to a specific quest.

EDIT: Or not. I'm stumped. Tried the other NPC? There's usually two, one who charges, another who doesn't.

Is she a member of that guild?

Well I used to get support, but I was only doing WW so I could make my own Shihei, my real craft was cooking, which came after WW.

Been a long *** time since I've played, so can you only be a member of one guild? If so, how would she change it from Culinarian's guild to Woodworking?

does she have any of the otehr crafting weapon quests active?

have her check at a diffrent guild if she can get syn support from them
to see if its jsut that npc or all of them

No, she has no crafting weapon quests open. I didn't see a need for them (seeing as when they came out, I was already done with WW, and well over the latent cap in Cooking) and she probably doesn't even know about them to begin with.

The only quest open that has anything at all to do with Sandy that might be preventing this is the one where you have to find castle floor plans on the Orcs, but I'm pretty sure I've had that open forever, well before I started crafting.

No way to test if it's only happenining on her computer, we don't have a BC PS3, and we don't have the PS2 version of the game, and I deleted it off my computer long ago and am seriously not going through all that just to test <_<

She's not on to test at a different guild right now, but I'll have her check whenever she gets on again.
