I'm agnostic. I'm just fine with people who have faith. It's something that gives them comfort and consolation, and I see nothing wrong with allowing those people to live how they choose.

Pushy atheists and religious people are both an annoyance. You seem to be another pushy atheist.

post your evidence of god we can have an intellectual debate

if i was saying god kills babys that make me a bigot
A bigot is someone who bases their ideas on an assumption and debates it as fact.

I don't recall my posts being anywhere near me trying to convince you of religion or God lol.

People can say anything, that's your right as per free will.

im not saying all im saying is 100% fact im debating my evidence to evolve it

when debate hits faith it Faith dies but Faith is base on holding on vs evidence (even if it true) that makes them mad at the person who started the debate making hate

he's just trying to help

jesus loves you

and you can't see that

glad to see other people who feel the same way about pushy atheists and pushy religious people

Is your family guilt tripping you about going to church, taking communion and all that jazz this weekend too? I saw on the other thread that you were upset with the fam.

You say that as though the majority of people posting here are pushy >_>

I just give the same dose of subjectiveness to the subject per say lol.

wasn't referring to just people who post on this website

im talking about pushy religious people and pushy atheists everywhere

it pisses me off when someone just has to dive into your life to "save" you or to i guess "unsave" you because they feel it's right

let people believe what they want to believe and don't try to tell anyone about it if they don't want to hear it

After reading that link Das, it sounds like an atheist gone mad, rather than someone actually thinking stabbing his the back of his hand would prove the existence of a god. Maybe it's just me, but it reads like the opposite of the initial title.
This... It seems he was trying to get others to stab him in the back of the hand, in which he drew a circle with a cross in it, to prove to him that a God exists... he in fact did not seem to be religious at all... it is nice to see that someone else did read this closely enough before jumping on the religious people are crazy bandwagon....

Was there another article posted because I read the main one and....

"Nicole Schrand, a senior psychology major, said Huppert then asked students at the table to stab him in the cross with the pen to “prove to us God existed.” The students declined."

That sentence says the crazy guy was trying to prove the existence of god to the atheists in question? If theres another article I'm not reading then I maybe be wrong. However, this article clearly states that the person in question was trying to prove the existence of god.

*Shrugs* Sounded like some people were trying to say that it was an Atheist that wanted to have a table full of atheists on national ask an atheist day to prove to him that god existed. Which makes no sense.

Anyone who has watched the rest of the episode could tell you that it's stating the possibility of creationism. So if you're using this as some sort of "diss" for creationists, you're going about it all wrong...

10% of the episode was him being fed up with stupid creationists. The other 90% was him being the god of a new species of robot that didn't believe he was their creator. It has nothing to do with my beliefs because I support evolution down to the very core.

I just hate when people take things 100% at face value. I had a friend who would talk about the Tool song Stinkfist as if it was to justify people wanting more and more. The actuality of the song is showing that chasing the wants of "more and more" puts you into a dire situation.

Except the episode started with him dropping a vial of nanobots into a lake of oil, or something very similar to that. The nanobots then evolved in days into sentient robots. That's evolution with a possibility of a divine force sowing a seed of life(but it wasn't even divine in this case, it was an alien planting the seed of life(farnsworth was an alien to that planet)). Not creationism. Creationism implies that a certain amount of control was wielded in the development of species; ie humans didn't evolve, they were created in God's image.

You're right in saying that the episode doesn't rule out the possibility of a divine entity, but it in no way endorses creationism.

yes... To me I look at this theory... and that theory and came to the conclusion that the only thing that's a FACT about this whole what came 1st the chicken or the egg, is humanity is a flawed species that cant do anything as a whole well except disagree with each other. And if i could, hell yea i would leave you and this planet to its useless counterproductive tedium that is divine and/or scientific faiths.

PS. I have no idea wtf you are talking about Mahayaya.
