Title Troubles?

Hey,

I've noticed twice now that when I have the "Durinn Deceiver" title it instead displays "Dvalinn Deceiver" on my profile. The first time I figured it might be because of when the LS Comm. website updated, but when I got the Durinn title again recently I wasn't there for the Dvalinn fights, so there's no way I could have gotten the title.

I'm not sure if that's a LS Comm site error or on FFXIAH as the Squeenix website is erroring out when I try to see my profile, but thought I'd pass it along.

"Durinn Deceiver" is a valid english title according to the FFXI Dat files. I could not find the "Dvalinn Deceiver" in the dats so I assumed it was just named differently on the LSC. I guess I am incorrect in this assumption? There are several instances where the LSC would name the title different that what is present in the DATs which makes it a guessing game for me.

Durinn and Dvalinn are indeed two different mobs which give two different titles. Hope that helps a little bit. I don't know Dvalinn's full title for defeating him though. :{

So I actually have Dvalinn Deceiver pointing to Durinn Deciever's title id. I made a correction to the char title page to look up each name by title id. It would fix the OP's problem but that would imply that LSC has Durinn and Dvalinn mixed up. Either way, my head hurts. Here is a list of inconsistencies I found between the DAT files and the LSC. I didn't rename anything, I was trying to link LSC titles to DAT titles. I think I put the "renamed" comment in when something got renamed in the DATs. That would happen occasionally, and frankly, I haven't been keeping up with it.

I direct you to my title.. Been like that for years, and I can't see it being fixed anytime soon.
