Scooby rules.
Wow... I was gearing up to hate that guy for promoting something nonsensical, but he is really impressive in being realistic and down-to-earth. Thanks for posting that, I'm gonna go spend some time looking into more of his stuff.

Scooby is a nice guy and all but he's like one of the biggest advocates of broscience and outdated information yet he doesn't even realize it. Don't get me wrong he's great for beginners to break into it, but a lot of the stuff he says is just wrong. He also doesn't look very natty for a guy in his late 40s or early 50s.

Knowledge seems to breed arrogance whereas ignorance cultivates charisma (to hide the lack of knowledge, y'see). New record for me and I'm quite surprised since I am still recent off of my month break (Due to injury)
I got 2 reps with this back in August (and I was in much better shape than I am now then; plus I haven't been keeping up with my weighted pull ups the past 2 months due to end of the semester followed by injury) YouTube Video Placeholder So decided to try Shaun T's Insanity workout. I lasted the first 15 minutes before I had to sit down.
Did the Plyometric Cardio Circuit Holy ***!!! I think I should have done the fitness test or something before plunging into the DVD set ugh IBELIEVESINYOU! keep at it. its like that for EVERYONE at first. Soon youll get such a high off it, youll need a smoke. PX90 rocks!
I wish I could bring you guys out to Fossil Park xD
As far as integrating Insanity into my workout how often should I do it particularly since I'm still going for gains. I was thinking 3x a week non-weight days? Or is P90x/Insanity just going to burn off any gains? Thoughts?
Not going to burn your gains at all.
Cardio doesn't kill gains. Over-training kills gains. If you go on a mile jog every day, you're not going to kill anything. If you do 30-60 minutes of cardio, you're not going to kill anything. If you're training for a marathon, you burn all of your muscle because you are over-traiing. Running for 3-5 hours a day is overworking the *** out of your muscles. It's equivalent to doing chest 4 days in a row every week. You're going to get weaker, not stronger. All things in moderation. 90 minutes (I'm assuming 90 because it's p90x) 3 days a week and you're not going to have any trouble at all Bahamut.Baconwrap said: » As far as integrating Insanity into my workout how often should I do it particularly since I'm still going for gains. Guys at my boxing gym bulk up all the time even while running 5-10 miles a day + hours of sparring and boxing drills. Just try not to overwork particular muscles within 24 hours after training them. Example, don't do a session of heavy sprints after leg day. Offline

So I'm taking pseudoephedrine, along with a bunch of other stuff, to handle the congestion that has arisen from influenza. And I swear this must be what it is like to be one of my skinny friends because I have had almost zero interest in eating over the past several days. I've never been one to nibble at food and put leftovers away. It doesn't help that my sense of smell is tanked, too.
Someone explain to me why it'd be insane to use this stuff off-label. It is almost miraculous that my appestat appears to actually kick in and say, "Ok, that's enough." Dunno about pseudo, but I stack ephedrine with caffeine, l-tyrosine, l-arginine and green tea extract. feelsgoodman.jpg Bismarck.Bloodbathboy

That's the stack I use 3 months out of the year!
Isn't ephedrine illegal in the US?

I'm debating just using my pwo for weight training? My PWO "drink" is before weight training, before cardio is just a bunch of pills. High heart rate would be a good thing during cardio though, I'm confused? I just worried about it getting too high like I'm hitting almost 180 w/o any supplement. Our maybe I'm just being paranoid.
I've gotten arrhythmia on stimulants while "doing cardio" (by which I mean, bicycling from point A to point B). You are probably not doing yourself any favors by using a stimulant before jacking up your heart rate, especially if you have any family history of heart issues. I come from a family of heart anti-issues, though -- low body temp, low heart rate, low blood pressure -- so it might be that I'm especially sensitive to stimulants.
Cardio-pulmonary exercise at or above peak rate is not really a good thing. Granted it is a muscle and therefore capable of rebuilding itself, but you still wear it down and it repairs poorly due to it being in constant use. I wouldn't spike it. I'm assuming those "Insanity" workouts are a lot of HIIT drills, so I'd think that hitting 180 often should be pretty normal. For regular cardio yeah that's a bit extreme to maintain. Me again with a random question. I wanna focus on the fat around my abs and love handles. Its the only extra fat I really have to lose. I've been doing upper body muscle strength 2-3 a week and cardio 1-2. Should I focus more on cardio for it or is there something else I can do? My cardio is usually just treadmill or elliptical.
