Your best bet is to get a proxy states side and watch it that way.
If you know how to manage servers, I recommend getting a cloud server somewhere, installing a proxy and sitting back to a few good games :D Could probably do the same thing on a windows VPS.
^ this is totally a new concept for me and i would have no idea how to go abouts doing so o.O;

I know paying for things is considered blasphemous, but I joined NHL Gamecenter at nhl.com. It's quite convenient, you can flick back and forth between all the games when you want.

Its not an issue of paying, it's more that they region block Australia or anything off-continent. Even if you pay for it most times.

Really? I had no idea...that sucks. :/ Well, you can still try the free preview, and see if any games are watchable.
I am considering paying for Gamecenter if it is still available for playoffs. I mean, i'm following 3 teams religiously this post season so at least one of them is bound to make it past round 1! lol
As far as the free preview goes, I've been able to cheat a little and watch it as much as i'd like while im using the Uni computers (they require you to login to a proxy). The only downside is that i have to constantly close the browser and reopen the gamecenter lol.
Perhaps this is similar to what you were suggesting Schultz?
