...will the Colorful Demuline Abyssite upgrade to T3 if that's the one you already have? Or can you pop that NM with your Colorful without worrying about it upgading, since you already have it?

I know. But my question is: Lets say I have a Colorful Demuline Abyssite and I pop Gamayun. It upgrades to the T3 for Maere. So I go get a new Clear Abyssite and upgrade it to Colorful. If I keep popping Gamayun will I ever lose my new Colorful? Will it ever say it tried to upgrade but since I have the T3 already, the colorful would just disappear or whatever? Or can I keep this Colorful forever and pop the T2 in Grauberg endlessly without worrying about having to make a new Colorful?

You can pop infinitely with it.

Yes that works fine, I did that for Shiva and Garuda and ive still got the t3 pops they dont seem to drop much worth going for. This stops you having to warp out at 1% to avoid your abyssite changing.

As for the text on screen you may know this but it will always say the name of the t3 abyssite if you got it but you can tell if its the tier one or two you are close by feebly, softly or solidly and strongly is t4 but you dont get those inside abys. So it could say the indigo abyssite of demuline resonates softly 200 yalms SE doesnt mean its the t3 means its the t2.

You probably knew that but it confused me a bit to begin with despite doing vnms before abys.

That's how I did most of my VNM paths for Almace. If you are holding T3 abyssites for the zones in which you're popping T2s, you never have to worry about an upgrade. Just don't pop the T3 by accident.
