I believe it's a "cake" due to the chemical reaction that happens when you bake it; Assuming you use eggs in your recipe (Not the gross Sera-Lee No bake crap).

With a name like "Cheesecake" just be happy that it's close enough to what you are thinking it is (and is as yummy.) :9
Words like "Head Cheese" and "Sweetbreads", on the other hand, sound like they could possibly be yummy but are probably NOT what you are visualising them to be at all. ;_;

The randomness makes them less pron to derailing... like i'm sure someone could start debating how necissary it is for blus to get all their spells but that thread already exists so it's less likely to happen as an example... now someone going into that thread and begining a discussion about chocolate chip cookies, now that could easily happen
