Girlfriend Windower Issues

I totally dont get what is going on here but:

Try installing the windower to a location other than program files, create a windower folder on your desktop and install to there and see if it works.

Windower is cheating.

She has it installed in a seperate folder, I dont think thats it. It got windower to finally open but it made POL crash.

Try going here http://www.windower.net/windower/latest and download the hook.dll file under the manual upgrade section. Replace the current hook.dll file in your windower folder with this one.

you not tried copying your files to hers?

She's going from Vista 32 bit to Windows 7 64 bit.

and your running?

aka the vista files wont work with the 7 files.

your running windower fine... what os you on? (assuming LOLvista)

Yeah, Im using 32 bit lolvista. Let me get her to take a pic of that crap.

I never could get opening with gui to work on vista. Just chainge your resolution in the config script and run from other .exe

Also, make sure you right-click and run as admin.

I had the same problem at one point, getting the right hook.dll fixed my problem. You can also try using different versions, that fixes problems for me on other programs that won't work.. Just rolling back one version at a time til I find one that works.

Try running windower in a folder outside of your Program Files... like your desktop perhaps.

Make sure you're running as admin, as well. If that doesn't work, try a fresh install of windower (but make sure to download the hook above) and try again. Use the Desktop or My Documents this time as well.

Also, my apologies on the messy nature of the Windower website/install process. I hope to have something better, but haven't had time to finalize it. Maybe I can do it this weekend.

Are you running windower as administrator? Sometimes that solves some of the promblems.

As it has already been said, while I was making the above image lol, try running as administrator if you aren't already or perhaps try re-installing windower. I've had similiar experiences when I installed windower on my new laptop awhile back, re-downloading everything windower related after purging my system worked for me.
If that fails I'd strongly recommend asking on the windower forums. You can also send Nitsuj a PM as he suggested - he's one of the windower people I believe (the purple bar kinda gives it away eh?).

see the little x64 box? did you try selecting that? it is important to use the correct settings

-Disable your Human Interface Devices.
Control Panel > System and Maintenance > Device Mananger (you will have to restart your computer when you do this)

Thanks for the advice, she wasn't running it as an admin, she got passed the first error, and it'd just crash as she opened POL. Admin/compatability mode fixed it right up.
