Zombie apocalypse -- Chose your weapon!
ive always wondered if a zombie outbreak did occur, which kind of zombies would it be? fast or slow? maybe both? would they have mutations like special infected from l4d? probably never know until its too late... ._. DAMN YOU SCIENCE!
Silly zombies, they vary far too much in fiction. I hope you guys have holy magic and/or Turn Undead.
I imagine anything that doesn't require ammo, relatively easy to use, and doesn't generate too much noise would be pretty ideal for all kinds of zombies though. As much as I love polearms, even they're highly situational (plus where the hell are you gonna find a halberd).

Same problem with bladed weapons, good for a quick get away maybe but for a long fight you'd want something that can last.

Halberds are pretty cool, but you can be caught in a bad situation if you have one being stabbed whilst another is behind you lol.

Yar, Quizlings are *** up things and pretty damn scary. I bet they've caused a few suicides.
I'd have no tolerance for them if I were cleaning up a neighborhood either.

There's a few defensible locations, but assuming a world destruction event you'd have to plan for raiders as well as the undead which causes problems when finding a suitable fort.

***, assuming no mutated zombies, just find any multistory building, and destroy the stairs leading from the first floor up. the only problems then on come from hunger if you werent able to grab a decent enough stockpile

My nearest Lowe's and/or home depot is my weapon a freaking fort!!! nail guns, machetes, saw blades, wood, stones, explosives, generators, air compressors, grills and kitchen sinks. Trust me walk in to a Lowe's and/or home depot. look at the stuff in there, not only will i fight i will survive. If I build it they will be owned.
Luckily I live in the country and there's an underground WWII bunker about 2 miles away in the middle of a field. There's tunnels leading to my closest town too.
