I've found out that I can't play single-player games for longer than 90ish minutes before I have to get up and do something else. It's not all bad, though. I'm spending more time with my guitars, books, and friends.
Thanks to Steam and their sales (JUST CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD WHATEVER YOU WANT ALREADY, ***!), I have a backlog of games to play. I dove into Half Life 2, but even though I hear it's a masterpiece, I struggle to keep interested in it. I've finally started using cheat codes and dropping the difficulty to blow through the rest of it as quickly as possible just so I can start on something else.
I miss FFXI, and not because it's a masterpiece of a game. I miss playing with my in-game friends. Single player games don't have that same grip anymore, and I hate the online games where I mentally rank people based on the FPM (***-Per-Minute) I hear in voicechat.
