Since we're having lists, I should flesh mine out:
1 - Charizard
2 - Golem
3 -
Seriously. Tell me that last one doesn't look like it's on SOMETHING.

Needs some love for generation 5 D:
Joltik Galvantula And Scolipede D: you guys picking out teams eh?
i went through the game (red/blue) and found the best balanced pokemon team available based on stats and abilities they could learn (including the 1-time-use TMs.) in no specific order: 1. Starmie for psychic/water, mainly for Recover 1. Articuno is better statwise if you prefer, but i love Recover too much. 2. Snorlax has enough HP and def to last through any fight on the game. teach him some good moves and gotta love Rest -> Poke'flute. 3. Zapdos lightning/flying. mostly due to the fact that he has no weaknesses and is strong to almost every type of attack. he is by far the most useful pokemon on the game. his only weakness is running out of PP. 4. Moltres for fire. there aren't really any good fire pokemon in the first series, but that's mostly due to there not being very good fire attacks. Fire Blast is too inaccurate and everything else sucked. 4. Dragonite has great stats and a versatile learnset. i much prefer to teach him a decent fire move than waste an entire slot on my team for an element/type i rarely use (Moltres). 5. Gengar due to the fact that you can completely avoid a shitload of attacks, rendering many enemies completely useless. 6. Venusaur in the rare case you need a plant pokemon. i usually load him up with enfeebles and send him out first to paralyze/sleep. but he's mostly situational and not as good as the others, but he's definitely the best plant pokemon in the first series. That is the cutest Joltik picture ever...
My favourite is... Weavile! And yes... it has to be pink. All time favourite, <3Nidoking:
And these too .. Dorapion: Some 5th Gen love, such an awesome pogey :3 Zoroark! Scolipede is awesome too :D Bahamut.Sakurawr

Victini's a good pokemon, if slightly lacking in moves prior to 41.
Still wish I had a V-Create one D: Bahamut.Sakurawr said: Victini's a good pokemon, if slightly lacking in moves prior to 41. Still wish I had a V-Create one D: Bahamut.Sakurawr

Fast also, though my Scolipede was a bit underleveled at the time to compare (and my Zekrom has a -speed nature). lvl49 haxorus was my answer to that *** hydra...since he started with that coffin I sent haxorus out, dragondancex2 and proceeded to OHKO his entire team, moveset on haxorus is Shadow claw, Dragon claw, Dragon pulse, Dragon dance. It has a +spd/-Sp.atk nature iirc, need to check Edit: Zekrom is making me sadface, even with a beneficial nature its looking kinda bleh Bahamut.Sakurawr
