I believe the change to breeding moves has been that both parents need to know the move in order for it to be passed on. Unless it is an Egg move that is.

both eevees know the same 4 moves, tms included. just the babies are born without ;;

That's one thing I have no clue about. Chain breeding for moves.

it's not technically chain breeding i'm worried about, just investigating a possible change to the breeding mechanics. chain breeding is how you get egg moves onto a pokemon that would otherwise never learn the move.

In all the past generations, if a father knew a TM move that the baby could learn with the same TM, it would just be born already knowing it. if the move was in it's levelup learnset and both mother and father had it, the baby would be born with it.

When my eevees were bred knowing (both mother and father): Covet, Swift, Bite, Takedown; the babies were born knowing all 4 of those moves cause they were in it's learnset and both parents had.

when i taught both the mother and father Return and Dig, they both again had the same 4 moves: Return, Covet, Swift, Dig, but the babies were born knowing Tackle, Tail whip, Covet, Swift.

The levelup moves were passed on as they always have been, but TMs havent been passing down. just wanted to confirm the change or see if it was just my game freaking out at me :x

Possibly removed it due to it not being necessary? Infinite use TMs and such. Might have overlooked it last gen.

its not a gamebreaking change for sure, but right now i'm playing through x. i was going to transfer some eggs to Y when i beat x, and wont have the TMs right away in Y. But it just seemed odd to remove it 5 generations after breeding was added lol

From what I was told earlier, all the pokémons caught in Safari have 2 perfect IVs. Therefore, while Ditto makes it easier, you don't necessarily need only this.

I'm gonna catch corresponding pokémons and just breed off them, faster than waiting for a potential Ditto. You can also camp the GTS for them, people sometime ask shitty pokémons (like Sudowoodo).

pretty sure all friend safari poke have 2 31 IVs and all legendaries have 3. dont quote me tho. hence why ditto friend safaris are all teh rage.

also something about the magikarp given to you always being adamant (or very likely to be)

26(My limit) Fennekin bred last night and only ended up with 5 with the proper nature and attribute.
With HP Grass/Electric/Water/Fighting not happening apparently, would Rock Bug or Ice be a better choice for Delphox? This is mostly an in-game team but I'd probably use it for Wifi(Or eventual AH tournament) as well.

Delphox's movepool is pretty awful so I'm trying to get whatever coverage I possibly can. Actually wish I had looked at it's Level up/TM list before I chose this as my final...

Also anyone ever receive anything decent from wonder trade? It's nice having different ID's and stuff but I'm a little sick of pansage's and pikachu's.

fire and psychic are really good stab coverage moves. bug would give you perfect or near perfect coverage, but hidden power is a static 60 bp now so it kind of sucks.

Actually forgot Hp was 60 no matter what now. That is a bit weak. Guess HP bug will be better than nothing though, thing seems to physically frail to try and calm mind or actually do anything but try and sweep and then die to priority.

Energy Ball would have been nice at least. Not sure why vulpix can learn but it's clone can't.

same type attack bonus, you do 50% more damage if the attack is the same type as the user. so charizard would do 50% with fire attacks and flying attacks.

STAB = Same Type Attack Bonus

When you use an attack with the same type as the Pokemon using it, it gets a 50% damage boost.

Some Pokemon have the ability Adaptability which boost that 50% to 100%. Like Mega-Lucario.

Oh boy, that's interesting.

Haven't checked, did they put proper online tournaments yet? I tried to download the "fight test" but it says that there are no files available.

I added everyone on the first page.

You can also add this for a different Safari type: 3780-9011-2124

That's my second 3DS. I'll add everyone when I get back home.

Who wants to be the first to die to my shiny uber Magneton?

Edit: NVM, he isn't EV trained yet lol. Also, where do I go to "evolve" him to a Magenezone?

Believe you have to trade it with a specific item obtained from BPs, like for Magmortar. Not sure though.

Quote:
It evolves from Magneton when leveled up in Mt. Coronet, Chargestone Cave, or on Route 13. It is the final form of Magnemite.

All right! Magnezone has the same level up movesets as Magenton, so I can get it evolved quickly!

Now...if Nintendo kindly placed a Mega Stone for Magenzone...

Can see that now.
Guy 1: Sir we should put in a Mega Evo for Magneton.
Guy 2: Hmmm yeah so what should we do with it?
Guy 1: Same thing we did before.
Guy 2: TRIPLE MAGNETON POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have added all codes. Let me know if I missed your code. Mine is Paul : 0318 - 7679 - 3058.

So speaking of my future endgame team, I've been thinking about replacing new Noivern with my old Braviary for flying. I'll also have to get rid of my old Garchomp since Noivern is Dragon. Which type I should pick for improving my team?

My future endgame team:

Arcanine Fire
**Intimidate + Jolly + Expert Belt
**Wild Charge, Outrage, Flare Glitz, & Reversal

Galvantula Thunder & Bug
**Compound Eyes + Modest + Magnet
**Thunder, Bug Buzz, Energy Ball, Volt Switch

Milotic Water
**Marvel Scale + Modest + Leftovers
**Surf, Ice Beam, Toxic, Recover

Noivern Dragon & Flying
**Infiltrator + Mild + Life orb
**Hurricane, Draco Meteor, Boomburst, U-turn

???

???

Fighting type wouldn't hurt. You can check between UU, RU, BL and OU categories and pick the fighting type that you like the most. You can check Smogon to find various set to use and what each is good for.

I just looked into the list of all fighting-type Pokemon and I... I don't like their appearance. ><; I'm picky. (All starters w/ fighting-type are badass, but I'm planning to create my team without starters.)

You can pick non fighting types to use fighting moves, too. Some pokémons are very good for this, such as Tyranitar.
