That safe house at spawn? I kinda helped myself to a few things. Figured you spawned them in with Creative (no way you made a stack of MFSU's legit xD). I'll replace the stuff if you want.
I've settled on the other side of the vast Snow Fields of Hoth (lol) that your server seems to LOVE. Almost got a set of Quantum, Nano is done :P

I forgot how fun Tekkit is and how busy it keeps you!
Been playing since about 4 hours ago on Gate's server and have gotten a ton of stuff done.

Hopefully anyone in here can help me.
A friend of mine is having a weird crash.
Whenever he tries to make a gold furnace (from betterfurnace mod) or a stone cog (buildcraft mod) his game crashes. however, a wooden cog or an iron furnace work just fine.
[ForgeModLoader] a critical server error occured handling a packet kicking 21705
java.lang.nullpointerexception
i tried everything from deleting everything, to updating jave, downgrading java, etc.
it only kicks him, everyone else can do those recipes just fine (we're currently 8 players on my server), only his wont work.
got any ideas?

Sounds like an Item ID conflict. No experience with that mod so I couldnt be of more help :/

For now i removed a few mods until i can figure out how to resolve this. What i found out so far is that i might have to learn how to java XD

so I'm not nearly as cool as you fellows on ze minecraft, but the wife & I are consructing a little town, & her happy *** is consumed with farming / ranching. which is really funny, because I tried (unsuccessfully) to get her to buy a house out in the middle of nowhere a few years ago, but meh. anywhoo, she keeps penning up animals only to have them escape when she's not looking. anyone know why her animals escape thier pens / de-pop???
we're on xbox360 (vanilla obviously) and her main pen consists of fence 2 high with some areas of dirt 3-4 high (drop-off)

If the entire pen is 2 high all the way around they should not be getting out, at all, period.
A pen 1 high would be enough too.

yeah I was looking extensively the other day, & it looks like a problem you just have to live with on xbox for now. I believe it got patched in the PC version already, but it's not too big of a deal I suppose :)

drak you may want to install logblock, every time i log in someone has dug holes into the void all around the spawn point. the buildings i made at the spawn were also covered in fire and paintings last time i got on.

Does anyone know or play on a decent Survival server that isn't PVP, or has a non-PVP area? I'm not good enough for PVP yet, but every server I've been on today, in trying to find a semi-decent one, has ended in the admin being a *** to people and me not wanting to play on it, or people ruining whatever you do without moderation.
Looked through a few pages of this thread, but I don't know how relevant some of the information is considering the timestamps... :)

You could come to mine. There is no whitelist so anyone can join. The survival world is PvP but I can make an exception for those from the FFXI community to be "Peaceful" or uninvolved in PvP.
We also have creative plotworld for people who just want to build things in creative mode, and an adventure world is in the works for those who'd rather do quests/explore dungeons and such.

I usually play on the reddit servers that aren't whitelisted
I'm usually on the PvE server, p.nerd.nu.
They also have a creative server and a PvP server
But they're currently updating the plugins so the servers are down except creative (which is running the old version) and have a chaos server up at x.nerd.nu in the mean time.

Our server has PvP, but it is only a part of the big picture. We have about 50 plugins (server mods) that all have a unique purpose ranging from protecting certain areas from grief to allowing certain chests to reload with loot (with individual loot pools for each player) every 24 hours.

You can build random stuff without worry in Creative World, in creative mode. To access Creative, type /c gate when you join, and walk through the green portal. Then type /plot auto to be assigned a 64x64 plot that only you can build on (unless you add helpers, but be careful who you add)
You can also fly around and see what other people have made. There are some pretty epic pixel arts to be seen.
