So concerned with venting. Radiation levels aren't really that much of a concern if you get even just a few miles away. Fallout of contiminents on the otherhand... Most people don't actually know the difference between Radiation and Radioactive Fallout though. The current Ratiaion levels at the plant amount to a Year's standard dosage within an hour. Fallout: Peices of stuff like fuel or building material or poisons fission products etc that emit radiation. Carried on the wind it could litterally go hundreds of miles and can have rather long half lifes. This is worst not only in the distance but the fact these things keep emitting radation that isn't being contained and much closer to you. Like possibly from the inside. This is bad particular since your skin itself actually protects you from a decent amount of the more destructive types of radiation. Plus some of it stays in your body for awhile. Actually no cause even in chernobyl they threw concrete on that ***right away. At the cost of a few peoples lifes I remember reading about that.
