FFXIII + PS3 = Doom!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is all old news, but my mind blanked on it and I picked up FFXIII today. First battle, and kaboom! Now I get the yellow light, from green, to blinking bloody red. Is it time to throw my PS3 out of a window? It's a first gen, and even getting a new "more reliable" one seems too chancy. Any care to share experiences? Any solutions?

***ps3? I have FF13 playing just fine and hasn't messed w/my ***at all.

I remember reading something about this a while back, but didn't search for it. Nonetheless, I completely spaced this possibility and fried my PS3 all for the love of XIII

I do remember something about this too but it hasn't happened at all to mine. I have even left it running for over 10hrs one point cause I fell asleep and nothing.

Cursna spam if your healing magic skill is high enough you'll get rid of the doom effect.

You should have really used a Doom Screen when you loaded that bad boy in, never wanna take a risk with what such a beasty NM will open up with.
