What Will You Do When FFXI Does Disolve?

With so many people talking about the end of FFXI, I was thinking about what I will do when the game is finally gone.
I don't think it will end anytime soon, but I have thought about it.
There aren't many games out there like this one. I wonder if they can truly replace it.

i hear rift is good but i hear dco is also pretty good plan on going to one of them prob rift is using a new server style that has less lag than any game atm using a flash drive style server so honestly prob gonna check that out other than that cant see myself going back to wow for a 4th time and starting over but i will say this for the time this game has been here and coming up on its 2nd server merge WoW just did its first a few months ago i think we will be seeing those die out to let new things step up and take over but heck if they fix 14 and make it less demanding on systems it might be ok also they really need to push the ps3 release to help there are a ton of people that arent playing right now due to computers cant even handle it but as with everyone here we all are currently awaiting on game to be remade and if they ever do remake it <ff 7> honestly it could prob be turned into a mmo if approached right but like i said it must be approached right could end up being the greatest mmo of all time

I always say I'd do more productive things with my time if I didn't play FFXI, but that's a lie. During the months that i've quit, all I do is go on stumbleupon. lol

So yeah, I think that's what I'll do once FFXI dies.

At least til they fix FFXIV.

Free FFXI server.

I have been hearing a lot about RIFT, waiting to hear more about it. I think it is being released tomorrow. A million subscribers already. It's hard to leave a game you have been playing for years though.

well even tho i play ffxi almost everyday but im always late on events koz im out with friends or family or doing something xD

so when i stop playing ffxi thats mean i dont have to leave my friends early and drive fast to make it in time for events xD

so ya .... life will go on xD but i'll get more free time

to think about it .. with ffxi .. i really dont get any free time @ all lol!!!
so it would be gr8 if i just lose interest in ffxi i'll get to spend more time @ the gym ... maybe use the pool xD and actulley go to the saloon instad of keep shaving my hear and beared @ home koz i dont have time lol!!

I think I'll quit after lv 99, if no expansions are released. So that day may be actually close in time for me. Cause it's unhealthy, I spend way too much time with this game, when I could have better hobbies(my guitar has gotten a little dusty lately). So when FFXI will part from life, it'll be actually a good thing(though I'll miss it cause I'm attached to the people I've played with and-it may sound stupid-to my character too).

Just my personal experience.

There were more, but as game dynamics changed, I have had more self control on putting the control pad down and not having the game take over my RL :/
