Although this song only plays while you're marching your troops towards the enemy, it really sets up the mood for the bloodshed that's about to happen.
jugding by my first reaction to the music upon heraaing it, i would have have to say the music for the final two battles with sepheroth. The wings form (second part) and the final one vs one battle.
Never played this game before, but came across this in a recommendation.

idk I like the "intense" battle music you wouldn't expect from a game like Pokeymans or Kirby, you sorta expect it from a FF game or whatever, so that sorta demeans it (for me anyways)
This is a remix but it rocks
Oh, I'm also a sucker for PSO too. Any "Idola" songs make me smile :( but I think that's more nostalgia than intensity.

edit: also the music from the first half of ZM16. Pathetic boss, especially now, but I love that music and that fight. It was so intense back then.
Can't believe nobody said the Gygis Battle music from the end of Earthbound...totally epic.
I thoroughly enjoyed FFXIII (i know it wasnt alot of peoples cup of tea) but these were my favorite tracks off of it.
