Xenogears -MYTH-

This is what I do. Works well with EPSXE, PCSX2 and Chankast (Dreamcast) also.

Me too, and so did October(Wasn't it June?) Mermaid.

It took a little setting up because you need Bios and stuff, but for someone like you with technical know-how it's easy as hell and runs every game (Bar FFIX actually for some reason) I've played flawlessly :D

From my Xenogears album (psf files), it's June Mermaid. From my Xenogears Creid album, it's October Mermaid. Definitely the same song though.

I'm gonna say I'd have to agree with the Sega CD version being the better choice, but then seeing you can't find it hardly anywhere anymore, gonna have to settle for that. Hell, I have that AND Eternal Blue Complete for the PS1. Best damn series hands down.

But I'm also a big fan of Xenogears as well. Excellent story and execution, and some strategy to boot. Some boss fights were difficult unless you prepared, or at least up to the two part one. I am sad to hear neither Graf's or Id's made it on the CD as well, those were two in particular I liked, heck, the whole soundtrack for the game is awesome. The demo of the game was what hooked me, left me wanting more after that first CS where Fei is in Welltall.

Xenosaga on the other hand, I was expecting the same deal with Xenogears, but bleh to the fact it was more CS' than actual exploration.

Also on topic I've never played a single Xenogears game :(

Xenogears was a singular game.

Xenosaga was some *** made by a different company with copyrights to gears on SE, so they could never be directly tied together.

Ah ok, forgive me, it was never released here so I assumed it was all the same series.

Gotcha. Though now I'm picturing Esmerelda with Sean Connery's voice lead acting The Hunt for Red October.

we have to accept that there are some titles = legends of RPG

xenogears, FFIV, FFVI, chrono trigger, chrono cross, lunar 1 and 2, FFVII

they have special places in JRPG fan's hearts

of course for each of this games you can find problems to criticize them but their qualities kill all those arguments

xenogears's story + musics = W O N D E R F U L


90's was the golden age for RPGs
nowadays on HD consoles we have nothing that can compete

yeah why not but its on wii and i dont consider wii to be the next generation ( lol)

So much this. Eternal Sonata is another notable game for HD consoles, Blue Dragon too.

but will lost odyssey , eternal sonata and blue dragon be myths of RPG in 10 years , im not sure of that ? did they really use the HD ressources to astonish us like xeno, FFVI and chrono saga did at their times ?

Yes, there seems to be some mistranslation issues or lack of information on my part about it.

I'm talking about Emeralda's theme.
From the OSTs I found, I've seen the song name as "June Mermaid".
At other times, indeed, I've found the song to be named October Mermaid.

I wonder which song name is the official?
