if somebody can hunt down a psx emulator, an .iso and a sch1001.in file and put them in, the least of their problems would be mounting the .iso (as it's not necesary)

or they could just google, or read the guide on the emulator's site, like this: http://www.epsxe.com/help.php

I'm sorry, I 100% vehemently disagree with this sentiment.

I don't criticize them for not spending as much time on the computer, I criticize them for not helping themselves to knowledge about how to help themselves, instead of wanting somebody to hold their hand the whole way through.

This is the problem with the world, news flash: computers aren't going anywhere, they're only going to get more popular, if you want to enjoy some of the advanced features of the computer world, then learn how to computer, and actually teach yourself something.

a readme is a bad idea (when all the information you need is in several places online, very well documented), and so is downloading a torrent with all that in one, granted some people enjoy the 1 stop solution, that part I can sympathize with, I can't sympathize with the willful ignorance.

never saw the issue with mounting and iso files, I mean at least with my daemon tools, I can just double click the iso and it auto loads it...


pretty much just like installing from any physical media from that point on.

got my new video card today :) upgrade from a radeon hd 5670 to a 6770. such a big difference im noticing right now.

dude, some people can't find a program if the shortcut isn't on the desktop, it's sad.

I probably wouldn't notice at all, unless I did a side-by-side comparison, or had larger higher resolution monitors.

then again I don't think I own a PC game that requires anything about current level integrated graphics...

that reminds me, I downloaded that mechwarrior mmo the other day, and have yet to try it, hmm.

lol I guess... I mean I open the program if I have to unmount, but other then that it's just double click and go.

now of course there are some workarounds you DO have to know about (like crack folder, specific install.exe files you need to run {like with the skyrim I'm doing} and such) but other then those things at least... mounting is easyish.

I just always use the tray icon, really.

I like some of the articles I was reading on how to hack a wii, I liked how they said "to do this, you need to install this other program, once you do that, do these steps."

and typically had a little one liner about how they aren't going to explain how to do that part as it's explained in those instructions already.

very well documented, and not extra clutter, I loved it.

oddly enough, dtl is one of the very few programs I allow to boot with windows.

I set up the nexus mod manager, said OK to whatever it popped up with (the install path I guess for the files)

I'm installing the multiple files for the HD textures now (there's like 4...) I'll start with that batch I guess, or should I just install that as 1 'pack'?

For any PC game?

Day of Defeat or Natural Selection. Both Mods from Halflife.

None of the HD stuff will crash your game, so count that as 1 pack. When it asks you if you want to voerwrite files from a different mod, you can let it. It generally won't affect anything.

To those who know him on Carbuncle, today is Tiviant's birthday. So if you see him ingame, make sure you pester him! I'm not gunna say exactly how old he is though. So ask him yourself.
