You could, but you might not be giving him or her the right signals for later in life. I had a terrapin when I was younger that managed to climb out of the tank and die. I cried and cried, it was my first experience of life/death as a child and it scared the ***out of me!

And actually that memory is one of those memories that sticks with you so vividly no matter how much you grow up and still makes me sad thinking about it!

Oh god what if they climb out of their tank?! Is it bad parenting if I tape the lid shut??

And sorry for your loss. I had a snail do that and I still feel like ***. Like was i THAT bad of an owner that you had to off yourself?

It took me forever to pick a puppet name, but the wyvern one was basically instant. Nothing else fit as well as Wuffi.

My wyvern is Rygor. A combination of Rygar (one of my favorite NES games back in the day) and Trogdor (THE BURNINATOR!) lol. Was a pretty obvious choice for me lol.
