Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?
This image is going to be the basis for my new Skyrim character.
100% pure Nordic badassary. No pansy magic or sneaking, just brute strength, awesomeness, and beards. Yuna!
This bed is lonely. Seha just has murderous intentions and I only want to cuddle cuz its cold. Any one want to join? (not sagi) I went with a brute character second time round. It's really fun! The great swords in Skyrim are really fun and the perks make it badass the higher you get. The only problem I found with that sort of character was there were situations I got steam rolled: enemies that attack hard and fast (owing to the inability to block reliably) and situations where some magic was required.
One of the finishing moves is just awesome though. The character pierces the beasty on the great sword, swings them above their head and hurls them away. =D Limiting magic in the armour/weapon as well or just casting? That makes things really interesting at times.

Rikku is all the woman we need. volkom said: » Yuna! This bed is lonely. Seha just has murderous intentions and I only want to cuddle cuz its cold. Any one want to join? I'll of course level magic for the sake of gaining levels, but will pay no mind to it in terms of perk allocation. But I notice my worst enemy on any character build is always mages. They're vicious, fast, and kill me very quickly, even with relatively high magic resistance in gear and passive bonuses. Doesn't help that they always seem to be virtually limitless in mana despite electric attacks supposedly draining their magicka supply. Mages have always been like that in the Elder Scrolls games. I remember playing Morrowind for the first time and entering the very first bandit cave just outside Seyda Neen. There was a wizard of some kind there who would annihilate me in seconds as soon as I approached him. Same in Oblivion though not so much; but in Skyrim the mages are just overpowered. They never miss and it makes them deadly.
Not to mention it's annoying as crap running around with a thousand ice spikes stuck in you... How is it possible for this person to have any form of mobility?! I suppose the compromise will be their lack of protection in armor rating, which means *** if they have a mid to high level alteration spell on them. Plus their ability to cast while running backwards/in circles just makes it all the more irritating. Chopping them down with a weapon is just as difficult as it would be shooting them with a ranged weapon as you get a face full of lightning, ice, or fire either way ~_~
That's true! I always found a well aimed sword soon cut them down to size! Literally and figuratively!
Though I will say, the best thing they did about magic was simplify the schools and eliminated the whole separation between "touch" "self" and "ranged" spell types which will vary strictly based on what spell it is rather than having numerous variations of the same spell but cast in different manners.
That and the master spells were pretty awesome. I was underwhelmed with the best magic in Oblivion, it didn't feel like I was a master of destruction only being able to shoot Fireballs still.

The Mage's college was fun and unique, but ultimately broken and underwhelming as combining spell effects wasn't as useful or interesting as one would initially hope or think. But it did let you become pretty OP if you used every available exploit. You guys post too much ***when I'm asleep, no way I'm backreading like 12 pages lol
Walking dead almost made me cry :(
My twins were born yesterday. Go Go Apoc babies. Little boy was 9 pounds 1 oz and our girl was 10 pounds 10 oz.
Well then, just learned you can be invaded while at bonfires >.>
yup >.>; you're never safe in human form unless you killed the boss of that area.
Hiii

After I got my shield with the magic barrier thing (activates when you block) I never had a problem with a mage, even on 4x master difficulty. It could block any spell and even a dragon's breath on master x4 and Deadly Dragons. Kind of overpowered really lol
