If you don't play FF9 for the graphic then don't play FF6 either, as it's so outdated.

never played 9, because I didnt have a PS1.
(7 and 8 did came for PC, sadly 9 never did)
do however, plan to buy it on PSN

The game i used to love the most was the very first Silent Hill! :O and all kind of stuff like Parasite Eve, RE, Galerians.. those are the games i remember the most :O

Only played ff 7, 8, 10, 11 and 14

Cuz it is Sprites, the limitation of the technology of the time of creation. IIRC, logic says FF8 came before 9 (I could be wrong I am not that into release dates, I am not being a smart ***) and 8 had lovely graphics. What happened to 9 to retrograde?

This is same reason I did not play Zelda Wind Waker or whatever. It came after OoT and then it went to kiddy drawings? Meh...

Nothing in 9 really stood out to me minus You're Not Alone... Idk why. If I had to pick a game that stood out I'm not sure what I would go with. Probably VP2 or SO3

Turn off all gambits, gets better that way imo. I did the same thing with the Dragon age games on nightmare and I can't go back to playing with them >.>

They wanted to go back to the style they used for the early FF games, instead of the more realistic design tones of 7 and 8.

I'd love to see more FF games like it, to be honest. Unfortunately, it seems that modern tastes don't favour fantastical designs in fantasy anymore.

Hell yes. I loved being able to see what other characters were still up to, even though they weren't really relevant to the main plot anymore. Really made the world feel more alive seeing stuff going on without the player's characters being involved.
