I think that's a Geouf or w/e. It has a big *** chain with I think a hook on the end. Looks like that is embedded in it.

Well the Gouf Custom from 08th MS Team was similar (see GIF), but had different weapons. Instead of that heat "rod" up there, it shot a cable with a magnetic hook on the end that could electrocute enemies.

Nah. I was thinking of the original Gouf. I never got into MS 8th team. Only saw 1 or 2. Though isn't that like 10 episodes long or some crap?

Yeah, 12 original episodes with an extra epilogue episode and a 1 hour long extra episode that is supposed to help bridge the gap between two episodes in the series.
As usual with Gundam OVAs; better than the main series. Definitely worth the watch. Probably the weakest of all the OVAs, though. :I
