Once imageshack stops failing,I gotta upload a screencap taken from friend's laptop who wants an opinion on game graphics for FFXIV.Apparently I'm not allowed comment on any graphic spec/quality/settings because (and I quote) "You have 690's,specs dont apply to you anymore" ;-;

Logged in with my info on his laptop,took a screen cap below and cropped it.Now I'm well aware of spec of the game and his machine,but he wants to see other people's opinions written down lol

He has a laptop with an i7-3630QM,8gb 1600mhz memory,2gb GeForce GT 650m,1440x900 res screen.

Using the FFXIV recommended settings from Lodestone as

Windowed mode
1280x720
2x MSAA
Standard Drawing Quality 8
Background Drawing Quality 3
Shadow Detail Lowest
AO : Off
Depth of Field : On
Tezture Quality and filtering both Standard

Now I know FFXIV generally doesnt play well anyways (some random lag,etc) but we had to cap his game at 30fps because it was getting around 40-45 and would nose dive when the fail accessing kicked in

Edit: we tried AA off completely and it was a more stable 45-50 fps,but he wont play it without AA of some sort,even at the sake of preformance (once 2.0 comes out even)

Sounds about right, my old PC ran it decently well, should run a bit better with the new specs.
