It's not that great really, but it has some laughs in it. I think it will get better later on, it has that feeling for great potential, just they have to pull it off and not many shows do that.

I have a computer question if anyone can help.

I just bought a replacement laptop, refurbished of the same model I had before because I'm comfortable with it. I've found that it no longer supports 4 GB of RAM. I originally thought it could only support 2 GB, but with a little fiddling (because I'm stubborn and can't accept that cheap = less) I found that the bottom slot could read the 500 MB while the top one could read the 2 MB RAM. I tried using two 2 GB RAM but the computer would hang on the BIOS, and if I switched them then it would only read 2 GB (why I originally thought that it could only use up to 2 GB). Then I tried using the 500 MB on the bottom and 2 GB on top to find that it read 2.5 GB. I then figured maybe one of the sticks are damaged so I switched the 2 GB out with the other and it loaded just fine.

So... my question is this! Could this motherboard have a limit of 3 GB? Would it be worth buying a 1 GB stick if it does? How can I find out what motherboard I'm using without opening up this thing D: I needs help :(

Could you potentially google your make/model number to see what motherboard it uses then google the motherboard to see what it can hold at max?

Clarify for me. How many RAM slots do you have? 2 or 4? RAM has to be ordered in a specific way, and the slots have to match each other in value, but it can be weird.

For instance:
Slot 1 - 2 GB
Slot 2 - 1 GB
Slot 3 - 2 GB
Slot 4 - 1 GB
Would work because 1&3 are paired, 2&4 are paired.

Slot 1 - 2 GB
Slot 2 - 2 GB
Slot 3 - 1 GB
Slot 4 - 1 GB
Would not because 1&3 are paired, 2&4 are paired.

Order varies by model.

Crucial says my laptop supports up to 2 GB, but I clearly am using 2.5 and I know that my previous laptop could use 3.68... cause it couldn't use all 4 GB (.68 is a guess).

Also, I'm kinda derp with laptops, so this could be totally wrong. I prefer towers.

So... since it was refurbished it's very likely they are using a different motherboard from the manufacturer specs, right? That is the only reason I could imagine it showing 2.5 GB.

I really need to go see another Symphony of the Goddess.
