The original question was about fighters training for an upcoming fight and the reason SOME trainers tell SOME fighters to abstain is because THEY believe it helps keep fighters MEAN and focused and determined to win a FIGHT. I didn't petition the academy of science for an opinion on it. I asked a couple trainers why and they told me. It's just one tool to help motivate their fighters. THAT'S ALL FOLKS
I do not know about other sports where proper rest and calmness are essential and I don't care! Stop half agreeing with me!

Well the thing is, I'm 22. Is 30 too old? Idk because I had a 30(31 now probably) year old friend in college and I would have never guessed they were 30.
But then again I feel it's too large of a gap.

My grandpa had a GF younger then my parents by many years at one point I think... and maybe I phrased it wrong... 40 would be people 27+, the formula accounts for the age gap widening as you get older.

People mature at different rates, people look for different things in a relationship, who's to say which age is right and wrong. There is a social stigma when it comes to middle aged people dating those half there age, particularly in men, but that's born from fear of the many unsavoury characters with an agenda that appear in the news.
I think that as long as intentions are legit and as long as there is a respect for the feelings and concerns of the family of whoever you are dating, age should not have to be a barrier.
