Oh, are we doing first cars? Mine was a 1986 Chevy Celebrity station wagon that had 200k on it, rusted to crap and I paid 400 bucks for. The stabilizer bar broke after six months and I traded it in for my next piece o' *** (which I love and miss dearly... the next piece o' ***, not the station wagon), but for those first six months, it gave me the freedom I had craved for years. All I had to do was get in and twist the key and there was nothing but road in front of me. I still drive piles, but one day I'm gonna get myself a new(ish) car.
my very first car was this one :P 86' my dad bought it off of one of his customers for like 6k lol was so crappy :P poor thing got a crack in the engine then i bought my bmw the same week it died lol
I don't get too caught up on miles anymore.. I mean besides the obvious red flags like if it had 400k miles or something lol..
Our first car that we bought was a Taurus, and it had less than 60k, which was amazing for how old it as at the time.. Found out why later on.. It was a company car or rental car or something, basically something that people had no respect for and treated like total ***. It showed it. Not at first, but after we'd had it for awhile it really started showing.
Learned a lot of what to look for when buying a new car based on what I missed on that one that I should have been paying attention to. So I don't view it as a total waste of money or anything.

my dad knows a lot about cars, he used to be a mechanic and taught me his ways :P basically it depends on who made the car and how many miles lol he said saab and bmw are built well to last so thats the only reason i got those lol

Then we bought that after wife got hit by a car and we got our settlement. I will never again buy another ford, I didn't want ford to begin with because every family member who has had them, it has always been a money pit.
