My laptop would laugh at me if I tried to run FFXIV on it. It runs Aion alright at normal settings, with just a little lag in some parts of the main town and a good bit in that Abyss area or whatever it's called, but it scored something like a 300 when I ran the benchmark for FFXIV.

XIV's benchmark has no purpose... it tells me I should have to run on minimum but it runs fine for me on close to standard. Can you run it might be good to check if you were curious but laptops struggle with XIV in general I think : (

Well Lord of the Rings is getting a little tiresome, grinding is PAINFULLY SLOWWW. It makes me appreciate the community in FFXI, there are always plenty of people around to party with even in the games later years. I miss you FFXI :(((
gil isn't too big a deal (I mean unless you can spot me like 1.5m or so xD) only thing I really have my eye on is that obelisk polearm for my drg, most i'd want is some PLing to like 30 on my THM (but i'm sure by the time the switch is done it should be 30 at least :p, but any other job i'd love a PL in)

What level are you at? and.. grinding? The quests provide a lot of XP unless you are locked out of zones due to being a free account.

Yeah, I know XIV had pretty high requirements. I've used that site before. I didn't really expect my laptop to run it, but it doesn't score horribly at CYRI compared to how the benchmark makes it look. Just barely fails.
And for comparison, it gets a full green bar/max settings for Aion.

I tend to go with GE for quests and stuff, This site is good for looking up gear but it could get confusing untill you learn your way around the game a bit and theres Mooglebox which is good for recipies and item look ups, can also check out gear there but I find the other site easier to navigate. BG has a good thread on game mechanics as well if you are into that...
Failing those I just google stuff :/

I'm level 18, keep trying to do the barrow down tomb to progress the story an keep dieing :( been grinding quests in barrow downs for like 3 days feels like forever x_x
18 seems a bit low for Barrow. I don't think I usually started that area until 20. What class are you playing?
I just google everything now, GE is so outdated somewhat (it's good for a few things)
