Idk... Facebook tends to open people up to more about your actual life and therefore makes you a little bit more conscious about what is out there. The reason why shy people can usually be so out going is the sense of anonymity and once you start taking that away it could take away some of the confidence or outgoing nature.
i dont see why anyone would become shy online >_> i go online to avoid my shyness lol i dont care what online people think of me D: takatakataka

What I was trying to say is that when someone gets on your facebook your real life and online life have a chance of colliding. You can control what you say and show the world online (for the most part) when your off trolling forums and such but when you come on a social networking site such as Facebook (for those that share their lives and have all their friends on there) you can't really control everything they see there as friends can be unpredictable. So even though it is all still online there is kind of that clash with reality too.

I think I actually sit down to try and use facebook like once or twice a year... Normally i log in, open a new tab and forget about it. I also suck at 1 on 1 convos so when I do try to use it i never get far XD
