I've been trying to get that scroll for months. Might just have to break down and buy it even though it's significantly overpriced.

Mix-and-match and you can get it. :p Bismarck.Cicada said: » It was hard as freak to find other elvaans.. Annoying me now. D: Few days later my video card bit the dust. How old is your video card? Maybe just the drivers aren't agreeing with your computer? Maybe try rolling back or updating them (depending on the drivers you have currently) I'm just going to assume you already did this, but never hurts to double check.. D: Is it on a certain game/app, Yomi? Certain games have internal settings on quality of saved screen-shots (unless you are pulling screen shots with print-screen via Windows or something beyond the application's screen shot functions) that may require specification. Like I know on the SIMS3 games (and related offshoots) that you have to specify the quality of screen shots, as it's not WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) in the output compared to the game graphics. Well, time for work. Catch you all tomorrow.

@Slip, It's updated, but I wouldn't know where to roll it back. I did the reformatting stuff before I got the card. Completely different card too. It was doing it with my old card before it died, right after the reformat as well.

Rolling back is just a guessing game.. Which is why it's usually used as a last resort. First you go to your video card's driver site, and there should be an archive or something that has all the older drivers, you just pick one a few releases before the one you have, download it, then uninstall the old (as in your current) drivers and restart, then install what you downloaded, test it out. If the problem persists, you can try again with even older drivers.
Repeat until you find a set that works or until you've reverted so far back you can't even run solitaire anymore <_< (or you just get frustrated, say *** this, and go try to find another solution, whichever comes first).. Oh ok...I understand, you meant your in-game graphics aren't what you expect compared to what other people show as their graphics?
I thought you meant screenshots, specifically. If Slip's advice doesn't work, maybe it's because the windowed mode (or windower mode) natively has lower gamma settings that are "off" compared to what you expected (in terms of brightness of picture, etc.) No, I meant screenshots specifically. You had it right. The game looks perfect for me, but when I take a screen the colors are waaaaay off what I see.
Edit! It could be the gamma! Doesn't XI have a setting for that somewheres? Needed your elvaan body for mage's ballad quest.
yea yomi that happens to m e on xiv. i run on max but my screen shots make it look low settings lol

It sounds like the quality to which the app. is saving it. ;_; I always assumed the in-game screen shots saved to the quality specified by the configuration settings, but I guess not.
Maybe you should just use the MS-Windows print-screen function and cut-paste into a graphics application for cleaner screenshot saves. ;_; Fenrir.Schutz said: » It sounds like the quality to which the app. is saving it. ;_; I always assumed the in-game screen shots saved to the quality specified by the configuration settings, but I guess not. But I would guess so, much like the Windower screen grabs would be cleaner, too. I was messing with my card/pc color settings and yada, taking a bunch of screens. I can show you kinda what I mean, but I can't show you what I see because, well you get the idea. The time stamp is all purple/blurry'ish, color is just off. It's not a HUGE deal, I guess. Others might not even notice. I dunno, driving me nuts though! lol Makes me not want to take screens but I do all the time. ;[

My father deleted it on accident because he has no idea what he's doing. :| I'm almost on the verge of devastated because thats like 110hours I'll never get back and ofcourse Bethesda is coming up with that new version update dlc thing. your options on preventing future occurrences: 1. buy a flash card and backup saves 2. backup online what to do now: take off a week from work and replay. ..... Maybe it's the *** media viewer. That screen doesn't look like crap now that I posted it. /flipstable I DUNNO!
<_< if that's off colored I've been playing a *** up game for like 4-5 years lol
Looks completely normal to me. Nevermind.. |
