Random Thoughts.....What Are You Thinking?

There I was in Goodwill, minding my own business, when suddenly an adorable pair of boots caught my eye! They were knee-high black leather with a slight heel, decorative stitching on the foot and a zipper up the inside of the leg. Sexy. I checked the price-- $1.99. I tried them on-- they fit. I was sold! I continued looking around the other boots, but most didn't fit and they were all $15. I thought maybe my pair were cheaper because some nutcase worker thought they were ugly or because they were smaller than the others.

Well, I bought them for $2 and brought them home. When I examined the price tag closer, I saw that it was labeled 'electronics.' I pulled it off only to find another tag underneath for $15, which said shoes! Someone had come in before me and carefully placed an incorrect tag over the tag of my boots! Now I wonder first and foremost, who is on their way back for those boots with their altered tag and are they going to be ticked when they find them gone, and second and secondmost, am I a good enough person to take them back and explain what happened and pay full price for them, and third and thirdmost, if I do take them back and explain would the Goodwill people believe me, or would they think I am pathetic enough to steal from a thrift store?
