Nah, can't be. Happens very frequently with the Digmon outside of Western Village and the Biyomon in Wilderness Area.
Not so much with Dobermon in Western Area: East, but still not exactly a rare occurence.
Seems like some kind of event thing. Dunno what happens when you beat the 10 target Digimon and get it to "Advent", though. Never seen anything like a boss pop up or anything. :/

but 8 devil data per input is a bit harder to farm than Agumon's 5 dragon data. ._.;

I haven't really figured out the whole hatching dealie yet other than hatching the Kunemon for the main quest...

It's really quite simple, TBH.
You select your egg in the incubator, then hit "Data Input" and it'll use up the corresponding data you have in your inventory. Different Digimon require different amounts of data (and obviously different types).
When you input data there's a 50/50 chance of success/failure, and if you fail, there's a chance the egg will break and you'll need to get a new one and start again.
You need to input data 3 times to be able to hatch the egg, but you can input it up to 5 times (but obviously, that's more chances to break).
If you input data 4/5 times, your Digimon will be bigger and have better stats than if you hatched at 3/5, and if you manage by some miracle, to get a 5/5, it'll be the biggest it can be and have the best stats it can have. :D

Edit: And as much of a pain as it sounds to get the best stats, it's still a million times easier than attempting the same thing on Pokemon games. :x

Had a similar moment the other week... didn't know who over 2/3s of the people there were. It led to an awesome moment where my sister, her boyfriend, 2 cousens and myself wordlessly conspired to take over the table that was set slightly apart from the rest XD

I know what happens with the warning with digimon! You kill the 10 needed and advent is when a giant version of those digimon pop. I will post a screen shot in a bit

Gotta love it when you accept like 5 quests at once and they all need items that drop from the same Digimon. :3

advent is always like a nm digimon. this one would drop 3 hq beast digimon eggs and 1 level 2 monster card thing 100% and a ***ton of exp

yeah i tried when i was even level 25 and my ultimate didnt really do much to it lol i have like 7 level 2 cards :I maybe i can sell them or something lol

Out of curiosity is anyone else looking forward to the Neverwinter(nights) MMO? I've been avoiding looking too much into it because last time I did it ended up spoilering some stuff in the prequel books for me (last book doesn't come out till later this year). Kinda have some mixed feelings from what I have read on it but I'm glad to see they plan on keeping with the lore... I nerd raged a little on the inside playing NWN2 because they seemed to have rewritten the canon to server their purpose (though I never noticed an actual year given in the game so I could be wrong) IE the Hosttower still existing.

I'm pretty sure that would make it worse...lol

I played the first game and enjoyed it a lot. I had no idea they were making an MMO though. I'll have to keep tabs on it.
