Well dang, my eyes are endangered. (in more ways than one.)

So this was brought on by my latest trip to the optometrist a few weeks ago. They examined my eyes (not just my eye sight) and the doctor told me I had to start taking lutein because the color blue of my eyes was not a 'color' so much as it was a 'lack of pigment' and because of it my eyes didn't have sufficient sun protection and I was getting deposits that would later in my life lead to macular degeneration and blindness. Yay. And I thought to myself "You know, a pigment deficiency (as it were) sounds more like an accidental mutation than an actual gene trait, so I wonder why so many people have blue eyes." So I searched it.

Anyways, whatever. Long story short, blue eyes are dying out.

And to be completely creeptastic and nosy, I was wondering... what color eyes do all you guys have?

blue, but depends on the contrast in what I'm wearing, oddly enough.

I have hazel eyes, but they tend to change colors on occasion depending on my mood. I've seen them go green and brown.

edit: Right now, they're greenish.

i actually have central heterochromia, i have a pale yellow around my pupils and then blue on the outside

I never pay attention to people's eye color, nor often hair color unless it stands out, I'm very bad for asking what did the person look like...

i have trouble looking strangers in the face, especially their eyes lol so i rarely notice that on people walking around cuz i dont look at them xD

same, you can see little branches of the yellow snaking into the blue of my eyes when you look really close, its pretty cool looking

Yeah, I don't really pay attention to eye color. It took me months to remember what my ex's eye color was.

well i notice eyes in my relationships cuz they are one of the few people besides my family i would make eye contact lol
