Edit: It does have a built-in script editor though, so that's kinda good I guess.
XP is good, and it has the rgss editor too

If your teacher is asking you to purchase a os upgrade to do homework I'd talk to the teacher and tell them the assignment is ridiculous. If that doesn't work I'd complain to an adviser or dean.

Any class that makes you use Vista is bad for everyone.
No one is a winner with Vista. Not even Micro$oft (even though they made some money).
Scratch the last part. Even MS has to extend it's support of XP because of Vista. Basically even MS said Vista was a failure.

Does that mean you have to do upgrade x 32 + downgrade x 32 then?
That was seriously a program. Microsoft had a downgrade program for Vista users.
