My least favorite race is elvaan. No offense Josiah and Zah! <3! A lot of my friends end up being elvaan though. My favorite person in the game ever (besides Rues of course) was Pinklily, and she was such an elvaan. ^^

I remember getting that dumb quest where you have to find an adventurer to be King Trion's "bride", and it always picked the most obscure hard to find people ever, every time. It was either like the green pigtail tartaru or the butch dyke hume girl with the buzz cut hairdo.
I think I ended up leveling a mule on a friend's account just to do it D:
Hume > Mithra > Galka > Taru > Elvaan is my order of preference. Weird, since I'm Mithra. :o

They fight wrong! Their stance drives me nuts. Female humes squat at the knees but keep their torsos straight up, it looks so wrong! xD But elvaan stand straight up too. Elvaan pld males just stand there with their shields at their sides. >< But for just standing around town though, I do prefer humes. The look the most natural and least awkward.

I remember this being the basis for what weapons I gave to each character in FF12. Some characters just had the most awkward stupid stance with their weapon and it would piss me off. Even if it kind of went outside their general class of appearance or behavior.
I like Hume stances for most jobs, some look better on elvaan and ... um none look right at all on galka or taru (although they are awesome on taru lol)
Elvaans are the best 2 handers imo. Humes have weird stances.

Gangly, coltish, awkward, toothpickish legs, dangly arms, bad fighting stance... But mostly because I so wanted to be elvaan when I first started because I thought they'd be like Dungeons and Dragons elves but it turns out they are so completely un-elf-like! /cry

Elvaan Female do everything incorrectly.
They run like supermodels on the runway, and the way they hold and put away their weapons is just... argh it's terrible. Just watch the greatsword animation with an Elvaan F in Altanaview. It almost makes me rage how they bend over to put the sword on their back when they're done fighting.

I cringe every time I see a male elvaan in FFXI shoot a crossbow. D: Don't you stick your gut out at me and hold your xbow all nonchalant in one hand. This is a BATTLE, dude! Fight like a man! And tuck that gut in!
