It progressed in a funny way though. With OoT and other ones I kinda knew what was up ahead and the various "stages" and temples before I was about done, but this one flows like a story, and it just feels funky after having forgotten about it for so long. But definitely one of the best Zelda titles IMO. I hope they make another title with the dark, noir, drama type like they did with Twilight Princess. Pocky logo is a blatant rip off of Coke..
But from the descriptions, they sound like these things I love.. I'm not sure what they're classified as.. They're a rolled up sweet cracker/cookie with a inner chocolate coating (it isn't solid, they make a kind of straw).. Omg those things.. I could probably go through 50 of those tin cans they come in, in a month. Psycho Slip said: » Pocky logo is a blatant rip off of Coke.. If I saw the tin can they came in (the ones I had, I know many different companies package them differently) I'd recognize them instantly.

You're only doing yourself a disservice by not doing so..
As far as timelines go and ***, no there's no real reason to.. The timelines and story links are just not really there... Many people have tried to map out the Zelda universe, and it just gets ridiculous. It's best to just treat each game like a new game. If you've played the series, then there are recurring elements (and maybe even plot spoilers) you'll be able to figure out long ahead of time.. But other than that.. The only two that had a noticeable bond to each other story-wise was Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time.
The opening for Majora's Mask distinctly begins at the end of Ocarina of Time and presents a minor spoiler since it picks up where it leaves off. However, the game as a whole really is it's own entity and doesn't reflect much of past titles. Most links (har har, see what I did thar?) between Zelda titles are extremely subtle and vague to draw lines between. You'll only drive yourself crazy trying to make sense of it all, so as Slip said, treat each Zelda game as it's own thing similar to FFs. However, if you pay attention or play some titles more than once you'll pick up some interesting things you may have overlooked previously. It's kinda cool to play the title after the one you finished and find yourself saying "Hey! I remember that!" The interesting thing is that Link, despite his many appearances and varying age, seems to be a sort of spirit or essence of "The Hero of Legend" and is essentially reborn and takes host to a new person each game. Kinda like the whole "chosen one" thing being passed down generation to generation. Asura.Ludoggy said: » ![]() @Spath, they're not a propriety thing, it's basically just a style, I just remember the ones I got coming in round tin cans (bout 10 inches long, half the diameter of a CD) many different companies make them.. The one characteristic they have though, doesn't seem to be present in what I googled of Toppo.. They have a completely hollow center.. It's like the rolled up a very thin waffle, fried it, then fed chocolate through the center, the chocolate forming a layer thinner than the waffle edge.. slip's referring to the fancy french ones. im not a big fan of them. they also come in vanilla.
to me it was like eating tree bark with vanilla flavored compacted powder on the inside =/ Cerberus.Irohuro said: » slip's referring to the fancy french ones. im not a big fan of them. they also come in vanilla. to me it was like eating tree bark with vanilla flavored compacted powder on the inside =/ You must have had really shitty generic ones. Those coated wafer straw thingies are usually orgasmic, especially with some milk. i guess ill put zelda games on my someday to do list i suppose lol
They are nothing like tree bark (the ones I've had) they practically disintegrate in your mouth.. When they do you instantly taste this influx of sweet fried dough, kinda like chocolate chip cookie dough rolled thin and fried very lightly, followed by flakes of chocolate..
I love those damned things.. Asura.Chuuuuu said: » i guess ill put zelda games on my someday to do list i suppose lol To get a good feel of what makes a Zelda title, I'd strongly recommend starting with either Link to the Past or Link's Awakening. But Ocarina of Time is definitely what I would consider the pinnacle or standard of modern Zelda games. Everything about it was downright perfect. The look and feel, gameplay, music, lore, replay value, side-line quests and all. Both free.. yeah no i dont want to play it all laggy and low quality on an emulator
Asura.Chuuuuu said: » Cerberus.Irohuro said: » and if you want to have nightmares play majora's mask Depends on how familiar you are with Zelda games. Out of all them, Majora's Mask legitimately gave me the creeps. Something about it is not so much dark and scary as it is obscure and haunting. It really gave you a daunting and morose feeling passively lingering, and the only way you can save yourself and the world is to go back in time and try again. Not to mention you're more or less constantly cursed with those funky masks. Just putting them on made me uneasy :/ Unless you have a circa 2000 computer, you won't have to.. If you have even a first gen dual core, you're more than capable of running OoT (which was N64) as it was designed to run on console, and then some.. Link to the Past was SNES.. Needless to say, there would be 0 lag.
