Yuna, Seymour: normal names.

Vaan: if you're a car.
Ashe, Basch, Penelo, Balthier, Larsa, Vossler, Reddas, Vayne, Gabranth, Ondore: no.
Fran: it's another acceptable name.

Lightning, Snow, Vanille, Hope, Fang, Sahz, Serah: these are peculiar and except for Sahz and Lightning they could even work as for cool names.

Also, Ashe is a fairly normal and common name. I think it's fairly pretty too.

Come to think of it, Rinoa wouldn't be too terrible.
It's a bit uncommon, but luckily it sounds pretty enough to get away with in the public eye, and anyone who would question if it was from FF8 would be like minded enough to appreciate something like that to begin with.

Rin would be a good name, but Rinoa sounds just wrong.

Hmmm, the more I think about it, the more I notice name preferences, at least among FF names seems to be somewhat culturally influenced.
Names that seem relatively normal or even pretty sounding to me doesn't reflect the same as those living in another country where the status quo of normal names varies drastically.

Then again it could ultimately come down to subjective points of views and opinions between individuals. In the end that's what it should come down to, as naming your child is a personal decision.
